Luxurious, reasonably priced, great location. Likes: this resort is located very close to Killarney national Park and is a great place to set out for the ring of Kerry or in the Dingle Peninsula. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. There was even a rack to warm my bath towel on! The spa has many extravagant features that made it incredibly comfortable. We climbed the highest peak in Ireland and found it wonderful to come back to the spa at the end of the day. I was absolutely blown away by the way many food options at their free breakfast buffet. It was astounding! The staff are very friendly and we had a very comfortable experience here. It really could not have been better! Dislike: I believe that every business and human being can grow from constructive feedback. I think the only constructive feedback I have is to extend the hours that the spa is open. Most spas or hotels I’ve been to in the United States keep the swimming pool or spa open till 9 or 10PM. If you do a bus tour of the ring of Kerry you won’t get back until 6PM and will probably need a little food before going to the spa which closes at 8PM. It really doesn’t leave much of a window for people to explore the surrounding beauty & be able to recuperate in the spa. I think most people come here to explore the area, not just stay in the hotel the entire time. Anyway, that is my only constructive feedback. Other than that we had an amazing experience!

This is a beautiful hotel with fantastic Spa, cozy Lounge, bustling pub, excellent restaurant, and lovely common areas. The room was large and quiet with a huge tub for soaking in after a long flight and a very comfy bed. Room service was prompt and they have tasty tempting cookies and juice in the lobby when you come back in from a day of sightseeing and walking through the gorgeous forest across the way. The staff were Very helpful in arranging tours and transportation and suggestions for meals in town. The Yew tree restaurant is a must visit!

spa open only 9 to 8, so the hot tub is off limits early and late. Room is FREEZING, in spite of setting thermostat for 24, 25, 26 C. Laundry service no better than a «wash and fold» that a student might use, but 4 Euros for a shirt returned wrinkled and poorly folded. This is an ambitious development, but hardly a first-class hotel. It is, however, quite convenient to the Killarney National Park’s jaunting cars. The on-site pub is also serviceable, if fake.

We stayed here for two nights in April 2013 and LOVED it! The staff was helpful and friendly; the valet even parked our car for us at no charge when we arrived in the middle of a rainstorm. Our room was quite spacious and the bed super comfortable. The front desk clerk was also great and gave me really helpful ideas of shops to check for a special baby shower gift, even outside Killarney. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and it was the only hotel we stayed at in Ireland where the bathroom was stocked with wash clothes without having to request them specially. :) Breakfast was BYFAR the best of our vacation — both mornings we got a tiered platter piled high with fresh baked goodies and brown bread to complement the excellent buffet spread of yogurt, fruit, cereal(yummy meusli!), and made-to-order hot items. The pancakes were most similar to Swedish pancakes or crepes, quite tasty. The hotel is just across the street from the Killarney National Park, a few miles out of town, so it is very quiet at night and also near the park for scenic jogs(though you may end up running on the road). The adjacent pub is not bad, either. A bit pricey for pub food, but the food offerings are a little more upscale/gourmet than most pubs and you don’t have to leave the hotel to eat there! The dessert sampler platter was YUM.

Of the 4 places we stayed on this trip this was definitely our favorite. Teddy the concierge was super helpful and entertaining. The décor was classy and had plenty of Irish character. Molly Darcy’s pub and restaurant is right next door, and Killareny National park is directly across the street!
