Oscar Taylor’s en un mot: kitsch.
En soit c’est un bon endroit ou mangé a Malahide, mais voila vous allez vous retrouver dans la bonne veille hotellerie d’antan.
Service agréable, professionnel rien a redire, la cuisine tout a fait correct sans etre exceptionnelle, au final nous avons quand meme passé un tres bon moment, dans le passé.

The food was good in fairness I’ve had better and I’ve had worse but it was tasty although it was your standard menu. The view which we had specifically requested was non existent and the service from the staff was pretty awful. Slow and not really bothered I’ve received better in Eddie rockets! I wouldn’t particularly return

Went up for my dad’s birthday last year and loved the service and food, so decided for my birthday that we would go their for dinner and all I can say is it was perfect as it was the last time! I ordered the t-​bone and it was perfect to my liking! All I can say is genuinely try this place it suits everybody’s needs, even caters for small children!
But book in advance as it does be so busy,

I will be returning this place very soon, with more friends and family,

An overly ambitious energetic family walk along malahide beach lead to the perfect excuse not to cook last Sunday. The only problem was where… malahide is not exactly short of places to eat.
I was looking for some pub grub (ie carvery) when I happened upon Oscar Taylor’s. When my family and I entered the pub area we were directed up stairs to the restaurant. The restaurant was not impressive and needs a little make over, but the window view and location made up for what was once a nice looking place.
We got a window seat looking over the malahide estuary which was fantastic as it just started to rain which created the perfect atmosphere for a glass wine. I would of been disappointed if I did not get a window seat so if your going ring a head and try book a window seat.
The service was fast, friendly and relaxed. The food was cheap two course meal with tea for € 15 and three course for € 18. My wife commented that it was «good value» and added «I hope it taste good.» And we were not disappointed I had shrimp for starters, cod for mains with chocolate moose for dessert all were delicious. My favourite was the honey roast sauce with shrimp both my wife and I loved it.
Our three kids had a € 10 set menu with starters, mains and dessert, Great value! The portions were probably too big yet I did not mind as the chicken wings were yum so I hovered the leftovers up.
A new lick of paint with some new fixtures and fittings and It would be five stars.

Got recommended to eat here. Got a great view of the Irish sea. Service was great and the food was good and plentiful. It was a bit confusing to find the restaurant, it’s upstairs of the hotel area and not the bar area which is right in front
