The business was established in 1925 and has since expanded to offer a comprehensive service from friendly staff with wide personal experience in the building and agricultural sector

We take great pleasure in offering a quality of service to our customers. We offer a fast and friendly local service with a very good knowledge of the products we sell. We can give advice on many other products even if we do not stock them ourselves. We can also order items which are not normally in stock. Our main aim is to satisfy our customers at all times

History

Established in 1925.

The original business «McNamara’s Hardware» also known as «Macs» was started by the present owner’s late father Patrick McNamara (affectionately known as «Paddy») in 1925. Even at that early stage Paddy could see that there was an opening for a Mill, a fuel yard and a small general store — he was a man ahead of his time. For a number of years the local farmers could bring in their corn or grain to get it rolled or milled according to their preference. Sadly the mill itself is no longer in use but the rest of the business has moved on. However, the personal touch and friendliness of the staff is still the same.
