Duck confit. So crispy on the outside and pull apart tender on the inside. It’s ridiculous. I want it right now and it’s 7 am. The mussels are to die for. Literally best mussels I have had. I could drink the garlicky broth through a straw. Seriously it’s that damn good. The dips with bread are decent(garlic butter = yum) but it you’re gonna go to corner stone opt for another one of their appetizers. They have a massive cocktail list – each about 9 euro. The ambiance is dressy and cozy. Definitely a great date night spot. The service was phenomenal and the servers really care that you had a great experience. When in limerick you gotta go!

Staff were very nice. Food was lovely, however there wasn’t anything very exciting for me as a vegetarian. Had the quinoa salad as a starter. It was lovely. Nicely done. 5 stars for that. Thai Green Curry main was okay. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special. I would recommend the Cornstore but would like to see the vegetarian option get a little more thought.

Cornstore will always have a special place in my heart, I got a stonewall cider here, and it was one of the best cider’s I’ve had in my life. Cornstore was a cool joint, that had great seafood and steak options. I had a filet and it was great. Some parts were noticeably salty, but I was very happy with my medium well steak. The fries were good… but I should have gotten the mashed potatoes. They looked way better than the fries. I was here with a big group and the wait staff was incredibly patient and very prompt. They really handled the big group well and everyone had a very good dining experience.

I came here on a recommendation for a small family birthday. We went for the set menu, which is three courses for 25 I believe. I had the chicken wings to start– these were probably the high point of the food for me. The sauce they come with is absolutely perfect wing sauce, fairly hot but not so much that you can’t taste the food. So so delicious and I appreciate that they give a couple of wet wipes with this. Second I went for the steak, done rare, which was more like M-R in my opinion. Still it was pretty nicely cooked. It was a little tough on the outside though, and I feel like maybe it was salted a little too much. This was probably the most disappointing part of the meal, as I love a good steak. The chips that came with though were incredible. Dessert; I tried both the rhubarb/ginger crème brûlée and the raspberry/vanilla panna cotta, the latter being the outright winner. Another point of excellence was the cocktail list. I ordered a melon soul but they didn’t have all the components so instead our cocktails were the plum old fashioned, mai tai and one called trip to midleton or something similar? The last was so incredible and creative, major props for that. It had white chocolate with cucumber hints, which sounds odd but tasted fantastic. Definitely a dessert cocktail. The service was a little strange– on the one hand everyone we dealt with was very gracious and lovely.(The guy who first took our cocktail order didn’t write it down and subsequently forgot all three picked, but that’s forgiveable.) However while we were eating, we were asked if we were alright by about 3 different people, and over the course of the meal we were served by 5 individuals. At one point, three people were required to bring one course to the table. I’m not complaining about the service, but management should consider using a system of sections for the service, because it’s confusing and impersonal to have that many faces. That aside we had a very enjoyable meal.

I was here for a work night dinner and we were told by another member of staff that this place was the place to eat in Limerick, so I was pretty excited… excited and let down. The atmosphere was really nice, casual but still classy and the décor of the restaurant was lovely. We had a few waitresses as our table was quite big but we got the impression from one of them that she could no more want to be looking after us that evening– absolutely understandable if you’re having a bad day, we all have them, but not acceptable when you’re actually face to face with you’re clientele. The menu sounded lovely and the food delicious but I was somewhat underwhelmed when it came out and I was eating it. It tasted somewhat bland and could have done with a boost maybe? I had a salad for starters which I felt let down by looking at the lettuce leaves et al on the plate in front of me. The main was ok from what I can remember, but again nothing special. The wine was ok. The big let down for me were the facilities. The restaurant is laid out over 2 floors but only has one ladies and one gents toilet– this alone would put me right off the place for good. In my opinion you shouldn’t have to wait more than a few minutes in a restaurant as it should be equipped for the amount of guests in house. Probably won’t be heading back there anytime soon, or anytime really as I’d prefer to experience more of Limerick and see what it has to offer.

We had a wonderful dinner here, topped off by two amazing desserts. Let me talk about those first. We had a flourless chocolate cake and a ginger-stem crème brûlée. A perfect way to end our evening. The waitstaff was attentive and the prices were reasonable. Two of us shared a petit steak, a sauvignon blanc, and shrimp pil pil and everything was very good. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Very glad we spent our first evening in Limerick here.

Fantastic place! It was recommended by the hotel we were at and completely lived up to it. I had an aged ribeye that was said to be 10oz but was probably closer to 14 and my wife got the Duck Confit. Both dishes were delicious and completely filling. They also have a great cocktail and wine menus plus a great selection of local craft beers. Highly recommend!!!

A tester.

Popped in here with a friend for some Sunday Grub in the New Year recently. Have to say the food was really excellent. I was feeling over meaty after the holidays of turkey and ham so went with the vegetarian option of wild mushroom, chesnut and brown bread nut loaf over spinach and sweet potatoes. Deliciously buttery sauce covering as well. The décor and lighting is very dark, so I imagine the place is more suited to dinner rather than a 2pm lunch. The service was great, if a little too on the ball. I was literally chewing my last mouthful when the plate was whisked away, so I felt a little rushed. On the whole its definitely a nice date spot…

Great place — good atmosphere, great food. Prawns, salmon, ravioli, mash with black pudding… everything I’ve had here was excellent.
