Went for lunch and really enjoyed it! Got the chowder which had large chunks of fresh fish-would highly recommend! Great atmosphere as well.

Lovely little café right in the heart of Kinsale’s central area. They have 3 areas of seating: the main house, then a skylit atrium, and finally all the way in the back, a small outdoor patio — which is where I sat as the weather was lovely. On a Sunday afternoon, I found they had table service — though initially I wasn’t sure as they also have a small bakery counter where I saw other paying. But, I did get table service. Tried their open-face cheese sandwich which was very good. I mentioned to the waitress that in my opinion, as good as the relish was on top, I think it could’ve stood well without it. Overall, a nice place for good eats, and I hope to return.

Such an adorable café, I felt so dainty & fancy just being there. They sell several goodies too, such as jams, tea, pastries. Everything was delicious and I left breakfast feeling well fed. I had the French toast, which was delightful. The raspberry jam they served with our toast was delicious!

We went in here to kill some time, have a light lunch, we ending up having a proper lunch and then coffee. Its bustling, and for good reason, the food is really good, creative and fresh. Our waitress was very friendly and happy. Lastly, the coffee was Great and worth topping off your meal with if you are a coffee connoisseur! They are only open for breakfast and lunch, they also do takeaway sandwiches for picnics…

We had the ploughmans sandwich with so much mustard on it that it was barely edible with a slice of ham so thin you could read thru it! The broccoli soup was horrid as well service was terrible. Avoid this place the only good thing about this place is it ha wifi

Admittedly, its not really the forum for this, but I nearly crashed into owner as she stole my car parking space today — when I beeped and did the universal hands in the air for«your recent action is not socially acceptable» she waved her letters and said something that sounded like posting them being far more important than doing the right thing, and didn’t offer to move — Not. Cool. I’m not local and have no personal axe to grind, but you can stop being an ass or you can try and take every one of the many many Lemon Leaf Café stickers off your car.

It was sunny day in Kinsale and we thought it would be nice to have breakfast here. My first time fail coming from the Unilocal reviews. I really didn’t find this place great in any kind of way. It was expensive, and the coffee not that good, I got a watery cappuccino. There was a ladder in the middle, and the manager moved us to another area in a very rude manner, saying that they are renovating. We ordered the vegetarian for my girl(nothing vegan for me here), and they actually came back to notify us that for scrambled egg we will be charged extra for an extra egg! It took them 15 minutes to get a coffee ready, while the place was half empty. What a disappointment. Guess what, as soon as we left it also started raining.

A healthy option breakfast nook on the side streets of Kinsale. Lovely little shop that’s perfect for a quiet morning munch with friends or just a solid imaginary tale. If you’re a brunch person, they’ve got you covered on that too and they even offer pick up if you’re out and about walking the pets. If I could wake up every morning with the type of setting they offer at Lemon Leaf, I would quickly become a morning person.

Delightful !! In all aspects, food, atmosphere, and staff! We all had a little of everything; lemon meringue, coffee cake, pots of tea, and good coffee. So good.

My pancakes were very small as small as 2 child’s hands. On a rainy day I was expecting a large stack of pancakes with a amazing maple syrup drizzled on top. But what I got was very disappointing ! Do not order these pancakes. I was even hungrier after I had eaten them. The full breakfast had tasteless, overlooked mushrooms and the fried egg seemed to have been cooked, refrigerated and microwaved. So rubbery. And again, have you heard of seasoning? And fresh spinach with the vegetarian breakfast would be nice in this day and age.

Lemon Leaf serves up a mighty fine lunch, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed that their BLT doesn’t come with crispy bacon like with their breakfast items. I’m as big a fan of rashers as an American can be, but a BLT calls for crispy bacon like a mother eagle calling to her babies as they soar out from the nest. Aside from that small snafu, this café shines. The front is cozy like a tea room, and the back opens up bright and airy with skylights and a small courtyard. The desserts are on display and highly decadent. They also have free, blazingly-fast wifi.(password is above the desserts)

We ate here three times during our recent week-long stay in Kinsale. Loved it. Delicious for both lunch, breakfast and tea. The space is great – you can be in the cozy front rooms or in the sunny atrium. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely spot too. The service was very good all three visits, and we’ll come back again when we get to Cork. What we had: crabcakes, Irish breakfast, apple tart, pancakes…

They have maple syrup! If you’ve eaten at enough places in the UK and Ireland, you know this isn’t very common. But this is an excellent breakfast location. Bright and sunny, with a large amount of seating(including an outdoor area), and a small shop for purchasing artisan goods. Excellent breakfast, including some solid french toast.

Had a warm chicken and potato salad on a bed of greens. It wasn’t necessarily the most innovative thing ever but it was made to a high standard and was delicious.

Of all of our breakfast stops throughout southwest Ireland, I think that Lemon Leaf Café is definitely the top we had. Perched in the back, under a rain-lashed glass roof, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and coffee, before heading back out into the weather that plagued our whole day. We enjoyed conversing with the family at the next table over, and looking at all of the cool artwork in the restaurant. I make it sound so minimal, but Lemon Leaf is just the kind of quaint breakfast place that is so perfect and enjoyable. The food is delicious and filling, and well priced. There are lots of breakfast and lunch options, and plenty of time throughout the day to stop in for either. The service is friendly, and food is made quickly. What more can you ask for? Some other notes: 1. Parking is a bit tough on Main Street – expect to have to walk a little bit to get there, unless you’re very lucky. 2. There is a € 10 minimum for card transactions. It’s not hard to get to € 10 – just have a coffee and baked good and breakfast and be happy.

We stopped for a traditional Irish breakfast and got a wonderful surprise. Not only was the food great, but the spices and other offerings were terrific. We picked up some interesting seasoning that we will use in the near future. The scones are awesome !!

5 stars for the regular eater. 4 stars for the gluten-free eater. The hubby got a delicious looking(and tasting!) toasted special which oozed a generous portion of delicious cheese along with the usual ham, onion, and tomato… he was 100% satisfied and I would have been too just from looking at it! However the gluten-free toasted special is a bit more money for their homemade gluten-free brown bread and yet much smaller. Now, gluten-free eaters are used to this — the gluten-free breads are always smaller it seems so this didn’t bother me. It was that my little gluten-free toasted special was missing that generous portion of oozing cheese, there was cheese — just nothing near to the portion of the hubby’s and since the bread didn’t taste very good that extra cheese could have saved the sandwich. The bread also didn’t get very toasted, it was still very soft. Over all — I’ve heard, saw, and smelled nothing but goodness from this place during our stay in Kinsale so I would actually highly recommend it — just don’t substitute for gluten-free bread there. Get soup or a salad instead and make your own toasted specials with store bought gluten-free bread in the local shops — it’s actually better.

Now I’m not religious but the Lemon Leaf Café made me throw my hands up and sing Hallelujah in this, the Church of Breakfast! The boy and I had been up since 3:30am for our early flight to Cork and by 8:30 were in desperate need of feeding. We drove straight to Kinsale from the airport and immediately found the Lemon Leaf Café amongst the maze of little streets. It looked lovely from the outside and boasted a decent breakfast menu so we went straight in to be greeted by friendly faces and quickly sorted out with a pot of tea. The boy opted for a hearty bowl of porridge followed by a cheese, ham and mushroom omelette while I dived right in with a full Irish breakfast(well, ‘When in Rome(Cork)’) You certainly can taste the difference between fresh produce and our supermarket malarkey back home. I was served up a plate of heaven — thick cut bacon, juicy pork sausages, black and white pudding, mushrooms, the freshest eggs with unbelievably yellow yolks and two slices of thick, fresh white toast. Himself was equally delighted with his hot porridge which came with a little bowl of dried fruit to mix in, and his omelette was off-the-scale. Their eggs must be laid by the goddess of all hens. All in all we left full, warmed and happy. First in a long line of great feeds while in Cork and I’m already dreaming of my future holiday home out there, close to the Clonakilty white pudding and fresh eggs! That’s the life for me!

Kinsale is known for many amazing restaurants and Lemon Leaf didn’t disappoint. The coffee. The Traditional Irish Breakfast. The burger. The granola with yogurt and honey. Just a few of the stellar dishes my friends and I ordered over multiple visits. They pride themselves on using fresh local ingredients and it really comes across in each order. Followed up by a cozy atmosphere and amazing staff, this place is, by itself, worth going back to Kinsale.
