Bridies General Store & Bar

I Love this place!!! Any time I am in Kilkenny I pop in to soak up the nostalgia! The shop front is beautiful! A fabulous old bike is out the front with the name of the shop on it. And beautiful Parisian blue wood frames the shop window containing all the delights of what is inside. I get a really nice feeling inside when I come here. They sell a lot of similar stuff to Urban Outfitters but at a smaller price. They also sell retro sweets and some homemade pesto’s and the like.
Now onto the money shot…
There are saloon style door which leads to the bar — I like to swing through these like a cowgirl, walk down the bar with a menacing look on my face while everyone stares at the stranger (me) and says’ take a look at what just breezed through the door’. Then I tip my cigarette ash on the floor and order a homemade pink lemonade with a straw!
Beautifully tiled smoking/​outdoor area out the back too. And best of all for could creatures like me they supply hot water bottles which they fill up and you can use!!! Heat + me = happiness!
