First review of this place I think. After work bash for 12 people. Balmy Friday night in late September and everyone on good humour at the start of another weekend. After drinks in Lawlors hotel down the street we repaired the short walk to here for the main event. It was a 6.30 booking so, not only was the restaurant empty, but we had the added bonus of the early bird pricing at € 15 for two courses. Typically, of course, six of the mountainy men ordered steaks(with a € 4 premium). Service was brisk, the food wasn’t particularly memorable, the wine was passable as well but the craic was mighty. The restaurant seems to be in the Naas Court hotel which I only realised afterwards when perusing the bill although there was no sign of such an association inside which, in my view, is a plus anyway. The room is a long narrow one broken into a number of sections and we were in the furthest one from the door which, given the noise level, was possibly just as well. The good-natured staff ensured glasses remained full the entire evening which is probably why the drinks bill was higher the food bill! I would come back but only in a mob. Not a place for a special night one. Ticks some boxes so nothing major to complain about.
