Zozimus Bookshop is a large bookshop, selling a wide range of secondhand titles at reasonable prices. We aim to have good books in every category you could wish for, from fiction of every sort to art and architecture, from poetry to fishing to war. We also have children’s books for all ages, and a large range of books on Irish (and local) history. One section is reserved for rarer titles,

History

Established in 2011.

Zozimus Bookshop has grown gradually in scale. It began as a bookstall in Gorey’s Indoor Market with a small selection of individually chosen titles. Now it has one of the largest and most comprehensive ranges of books in the southeast of Ireland.- but all titles are still individually chosen titles.

We share our premises with The Book Café.

John J.

Business Owner

John has been a bookseller for many years, and is an enthusiastic reader, who is always happy to help with advice about books. He is also a writer, with over a dozen published titles on subjects as varied as John Lennon, James Joyce and Irish poetry. Born in Kilkenny, since 2003 he has been living near Gorey with his wife and children.
