Currys

Hi! It is a good while that I went to Currys — maybe 1 year. They had a sale on for 3 days about TV etc. When I went in the first day (they were only open ½ hour) the item I wanted to get was supposedly sold out. Very annoying. The sales guy also did not know much about the tv when I asked him about the TV on display. They were trying very hard to sell me a more expensive TV. HARD SELL! Got a very bad impression about this place. They seem to be very disorgansised at the till. Got the TV on offer in Extravsion. At least I got the offer that was advertised.

Where do I start! Firstly, I’m writing my complaint here as I’ve been ringing the store since last Friday, and no one picks up the phone!!! Very infuriating!
Secondly, and this is my main reason for complaining! Myself and my friend were in Currys store in Galway on Saturday 25^th. My friend wanted to buy a laptop and all of the items that she needed for a course she has started, a printer, broadband connection, microsoft works, some memory sticks, and a laptop bag. I also went with her so I could buy a printer. To make a long long long story short, any item we picked out, was ‘out of stock’. Then our sales advisor pressured us to but more expensive items, and ignored out please of we’re students! We can;t afford them! I asked him about a wireless printer which i wanted, and he told me it would be ideal for me and that he would have everything we initially decided on by next wk, wk ending Sept 30^th. He took my friends mobile number (it was obvious he had a crush on her also) and told her he would contact her on Thurs 29^th to let us know when the items would be in. Don’t forget, we were spending over € 1000.00 euro here. Anyway, my friend got a text from our sales ‘adviser’ on the Wednesday asking her could he text her sometimes! She said no and she didn’t hear from him again. So, she text him on the Friday to see if our stuff was in stock, he said no, and I quote, ‘Come in and I’ll get an even better laptop for you’! How infuriating!!! He was more interested in his lovelife than in making a sale! Because she turned him down, he wanted nothing to do with her, or selling us anything! She needed the laptop in a hurry as she had assignments to hand in and I needed a printer for the same reason. We had to start all over again in another store (PC World, which were very helpful!) but what annoys me the most, is that I cannot contact anyone to make a formal complaint. I will not shop in this store anymore and I would advise anyone else the same!
