Starbucks Dundrum. Well it’s like every other Starbuckys in the world. Have never been a top fan of their choice of coffee but seeing as I was getting a gingerbread cappuccino the syrup is the overriding taste. Soo sweet. In fairness polite efficient pleasant staff and being a daytime Wednesday made it a chilled coffee break.

This is a nice Starbucks in the pavilion area of Dundrum. It has outdoor seating so on those sunny days you can sit outside, enjoy the sun, enjoy the fountains, and drink your coffee. Inside is a bit cramped, as this Starbucks shares a unit with a restaurant. The food and drinks on offer are standard Starbucks fare, in other words, pretty good.

We saw this Starbucks inside the mall and we wondered if they had WiFi…(That was the running joke in Ireland) and they did so we got our giant coffees in giant mugs and enjoyed coffee with my Starbucks card from home ;).

This place is hidden away upstairs in Hughes and Hughes… and not to be mistaken for the other Starbucks not 150metres away in the Shopping Centre building I suppose this is the ridiculous thing about Starbucks… they are their own toughest competitor. Bit strange that but what can you do. Between the two of them this is my favourite. It is quieter and it has that essential quality that i am always going on about in Café’s…big windows. However this window is not quite perfect… the view is a carpark and a main road… that eventually ends up with rolling green hills which is nice, but before any of that you have a very distracting glass canopy in your way… and it sort of wrecks the whole thing! But if you are in Dundrum, bit tired after all that shopping and really want a Starbucks coffee but don’t want to have to deal with the hustle and bustle in the main centre… take the short trip outside, pick up a nice novella on the way and chill it here.
