History

Established in 1978.

Roisin Cross began importing silks directly from the manufacturers in Thailand (Thai silks) in 1978. The business continued to grow in the 1980’s and Roisin extended the collection of silks, sourcing in both India (silk Dupion) and China (Printed silks, Crêpe’s, Chiffon’s, Organza’a, Jap’s, Velvets & Satin’s). RCS was renowned for her collection of sumptuous silks, and over her 28 in business created a heritage in care with this exquisite product. She retired in 2006 and the business was purchased by Judith O’Sullivan who continued to run the business in a similar model but extended the business into Bridal & Dress design and then introduced Dressmaking & Soft Furnishing courses’s in 2009.
