We are a long running family owned pub dating back to 1861. We offer a huge range of craft beers, spirits & wine by the glass as well as a varied & seasonal locally sourced food menu.

History

Established in 1861.

Run by the Farrell family prior to the Fitzgerald Family buying it in 1960. This premises has always held a pub license but also was a Findlater Grocers t one stage. The building is named after the visit of Prince Albert in 1860.,

A lovely local pub just as you would expect. Not too big so it can get cosy on busy nights — which I like. The pub is completely themed around James Joyce thanks to Ulysses and the nearby Martello Tower. A lot of thought went into the design and adds to the atmospere.
Coming here on the 16th June you most likely will have problems getting in…
They serve lunch but I haven’t tried that yet. But they have very decent coffee and all beers and wine that a local pub would offer.
