I came here twice for coffee on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas Day as no where else was really open, and I was quite satisfied. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed with plenty of space and tables with a kind of posh feel to it, and on both occasions they had Taylor Swift playing in the background. However, the prices are quite reasonable, and the they only seemed to be serving drinks, soup and sandwiches during the Christmas period. There is no table service so you have to go up to the counter to order and pay, but I found the service a bit slow on both occasions I was there. The coffee was not bad; nothing spectacular, but I found the bar quite relaxing to just sit and have a drink for however long you want and it seems great for groups too. Overall, a pretty chilled out bar with nice comfy seats and standard bar food.

Vertigo bar, attached to the Clayton hotel is a decent option for a quick bite or drink when staying in the hotel. The carvery is pretty standard and fairly heavy with lots of starch and meat, but the soup and sandwiches are pretty good. The mexican style sandwich had a nice tanginess to it and was on very good fluffy bread. The chips were also pretty solid with a nice crispy crunch. It’s not a place I’d go over some of the nicer options in Dublin, but when at the hotel, you can’t beat the convenience.

Good luck getting any service here. If you’re smart you’ll go straight to the bar.

Located in the Maldron Hotel, Vertigo Bar tries to come off fancy and posh, but really it’s not. Don’t get me wrong it served it’s late night purpose but in a city full of pubs I would have rather been some where else. It has that lounge feel with comfy couches and large chairs throughout. The second floor looks for private parties but then again that’s where the bathrooms are, so how private can you get. But it does over look the floor below and has the same comfy couches. They have only one tv and one batender(at least there was only one the whole time I was there). Drinks took some time but that wasn’t his fault. The guy was pretty chipper for working everyday and night plus the holidays by himself. He was friendly enough plus after seeing him every night he was quick to remember my order. Prices are more then you would pay in a standard pub but that’s just because you’re in a hotel. Overall if you’re in the area it’s not a terrible place to grab one.

Vertigo Bar was a bar in our hotel(Maldron Hotel) when we were in Dublin a couple weeks ago. What a nice lounge to swing by on the way to your room or when you need a little pick-me-up on your way out for fun! The wine list was decent and the rum pours were okey-doke. What was the best feature? The complimentary peanuts and olives offered later in the evening! Also, the over-sized seats suck you in! The bartender became very friendly the more we stopped by and the pours became more plentiful. I have been to some scary hotel bars in the past and this one is not so bad!
