Treat

Treat is a cute little bakery/​café/​deli. There were a few downsides including they don’t have any seating and they don’t make iced drinks (today was particularly hot). Their prices are very reasonable. I got an excellent chai latte for only € 2.20 and a lemon pastry for € 2.50. Both were delicious. The staff member was also very nice. Great place if you’re looking for a treat. :)

Are you sure this place isn’t called ‘Treats’??? I’d be willing to bet it is. I started a page for this not too long a ago which I logged in now to update then noticed yours… which is blatantly better.

You see on my first visit I entered in search of ‘flapjacks’ which they didn’t make and so upon my inquiry as to if they made anything similar I was directed to ‘Tiffin’ — which I haven’t stopped eating since.
It was becoming a problem for awhile actually but only on account of their exceptionally high quality — I was munching 5 slices in one day! Lost my abs, gained a gut. Currently cycling to counter my own self inflicted destruction and my gut is almost gone.
Why ⁴⁄₅ stars? It needs a larger seating area so as I can sit there for an hour or so drinking coffee, writing and eating tiffin on a sunny summers eve, much akin to the one we’re within presently. I’d spend at *least* twice as much money — although don’t get me wrong it’s a fantastic treasure trove of treats with a very definite character about it.
There’s another unit just around the corner that’s closing down — it would be an IDEAL expansion opportunity. Having said that, it has an atmosphere about it that I very much doubt would be found within a larger unit.
I just love it :)

Lovely little place with excellent coffee and nice bits and bobs to buy for birthdays

Lovely food, coffee and delicious cakes (which can be ordered) and bits and pieces which are for the most part all Irish. However, while it comes across as a mini, local Avoca, the prices are absolutely outrageous, making it almost un-​shoppable in, which is a shame because it’s a genuinely lovely shop, in a lively location and with a nice couple of seats outside where you can sit and enjoy the lovely coffee.
