The Restaurant at Brown Thomas

This is the place you go if you want to eat with style and get a spotless service, eat quality and well presented food rather than quantity. It is the kind of place where you can feel a little posh and treat yourself sometimes.
It is located at the top floor of Brown Thomas shop with no direct access from outside so is a little secluded to avoid disturbance.
We got a roast turkey and chicken with stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce accompanied with a bottle of Shiraz wine. We spent 70 Euro.
Nice and relaxing experience worth every cents. I will go again in the future to try a different dish. To try it at least once in a life time.

Been to brown Thomas a good few times but had no idea where the café was! Basement floor where men’s wear is, such a lovely place to grab a bite to eat in town! Your spoiled for choice with their menu! The waitresses there are so lovely! Friendly atmosphere and great service!

The is quite a posh lunch spot for ladies. It was pretty crowded on saturday with a queue, so we had to wait about 15 – 20 mins. The atmosphere was ok, but full of women mainly, and the service was pretty good. But it took ages to call over the waiter for something, and a while to order.
The food was not that great. A tad pricy with smaller servings which took ages, over 30 mins to come. The only thing I found good about this restaurant was that the atmosphere and seating was pretty nice and the posh feel to it. But this would be one of those once-​off places I would only go with my mom on mothers day or something. Not for a regular lunch though.

Also ich kann mich auch nur den positiven Meinungen anschließen. Ich kenne das Geschäft gut und lange, hier gibt es alles was der Herz begehrt, oder besser was die Kreditkarte hergibt. Wirklich ein muss wenn man in Dublin shoppen möchte. Dort gibt es mal was anderes als immer nur den gleichen Kram aus Europas Einkaufszentren der immer alles gleich Klasse. Und die Leute sind typisch irisch sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Stimmt schon Brown Thomas ist das Harrods Dublin’s. (bis auf Lebensmittel, da ist wohl kaum ein Vergleich möglich).

I came here expecting to find something a bit more like the ‘Itsabagel’ places around town. Why, I’m not sure since this is Brown Thomas after all. After getting over the initial shock we sat down and got our book club meeting going. The staff did give us some funny looks when they came by to take our order and overheard our conversation– Have you ever read Portnoy’s complaint?- but did not ask us to leave thankfully.
The coffee was great and they had a wide selection of herbal teas and desserts ranging from raw fruit salad to ice-​cream. The prices were a bit steep but that was not unexpected. One thing worth mentioning were the bathrooms, which had TVs in them. I would definitely come back here for a cup of coffee on a Sunday afternoon after browsing through the shoe department in Brown Thomas, but the atmosphere was a bit too cool to make this one of my favourite places.

This restaurant is intended for the ladies who lunch. It is the type of spot you would enjoy a gluten free seared black pepper tuna with nicoise vinaigrette and mixed leaves with your mother or the type of man who likes being surrounded by females. At the height of the lunch hustle and bustle it is difficult to get a table and there is often a lengthy queue between 1pm-​2pm. If you can pop along 15mins either side of 1−2pm then I would recommend this to secure a table. The menu has been planned with a nod to female predilection, with dishes labelled either gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, or low in carbohydrates — I am sure with the purpose of delicately aiding women conscious about their appearance, expectedly the type of clientele that BT would attract. Certainly with all the covetable clothes displayed across three floors it’s hard not to be mindful that to eat as hale and heartily as possible is most likely the best option. The service is customized to smooth the advance of the speedy ‘in-​and-​out’ looked-​for by the bulk of consumers. I consumed a Fin’s BT Burger (€ 15.90) — organic beef spiced with cumin and accompanied by farm-​house cheddar and smoked bacon in the bun with a heap of self-​indulgent crispy onions, a vine of roasted cherry tomatoes, in addition to fries with aioli to escort it on the plate. What a plate-​full! To make up for the ever so slightly unhealthy (yet delicious, but when talking about this place you can’t help but comment upon the fat content of something because whether subliminally or not it is made into a deal) mains I opted for a Raw Energy Fruit Salad for an expensive € 8.50. Including mandarins, mango, grapes, melon, strawberries and pineapple all in a raw agave nectar syrup, it was opulent in flavour but unfilling and ultimately over-​priced. Like Brown Thomas, the Restaurant too is pricey, catering for the same well-​heeled clientele yet BT are aware that they are prided on quality by their customers and so this too reflects in the excellent quality and well-​mannered service they provide.

Es uno de los centros comerciales más exclusivos de la ciudad de Dublín (podríamos incluso asemejarlo a Harrods).
Es un edificio de varias plantas y con una decoración muy elegante; sin embargo, por todo esto, no es una tienda al alcance de todos los bosillos.
En la planta baja tienen la zona de cosméticos y maquillaje, donde, si quieres, te maquillan de forma gratuita y te dan algunos consejos (y te intentan vender sus productos, lógicamente). En las plantas superiores tienen las firmas de ropa más conocidas e importantes.
Es un buen sitio donde encontrar un regalo especial o un capricho (si la economía personal lo permite).
