Had a grand lunch here today. Fish n chips and Louis ana chicken wings. Batter was light, chips with skins on were tasty. Bowl of chicken wings not too hot. Only thing I wasn’t keen on was the dip… traditional blue cheese dip would have been a more suitable choice and go on lads give a little more celery it won’t break the bank. I’ll definitely be back to try Dorans Seafood Restaurant up over the pub next time.

A big pub with great grub! Watching sports is an issue with limited seating suitable for watching tv. Nice pint. Bar staff are … A little off anytime I’m in unfortunately. Still go back as I like it.

We came here to watch some Rugby ahead of catching a game at Parnell Park. The place is pretty big, but good seating around the TVs is limited. Yes, the place was pretty full, but there were still plenty of seats left — just none with a view of a TV. While that was kind of disappointing, we tried not to let that get us down. We enjoyed a few reasonably priced drinks and a few even got food. The food presented well and appeared to be a good value. Really, other than the TV issue, everything else seemed to work out.

The Beachcomber was my «local pub» during my year abroad in Dublin. If you’re ever in Killester, it’s a gread choice. Pints are delicious and always below city center price level! Staff are nice and the crowd is mostly local, hence cheerful but not annoying. It’s a real cosy place and I loved going there for a pint in the evening. Even if you are alone, just bring a book or watch some rugby, you’ll be fine, nobody will be judging you. Absolute plus: almost no tourists, which makes the crowd even more friendly to the odd foreigner entering this grand place :)

This pub is a cosy and welcoming pub. It tends to have a middle aged customer base. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. They show matches when they are on and it has an upstairs which is used as a bar and can be hired for parties also. During the day the bar caters for lunch. Coffee/tea and a sandwich/chips can be bought at the bar during the day but at 12.30−2.30 the carvery lunch starts upstairs. The food is good value and tasty. Lunch tends to be very busy here.
