Well when your stuck in an airport I suppose there always going to be limited places for food. To be honest I’d advise to get food before or after your flight because this place is just all kinds of terrible. Firstly there were a group surrounding the bar even though the place was empty the staff didn’t think it would be a good idea to tell them to move so it took a good 15 minutes to get someone’s attention so we could order food. When we finally did the ditsy waitress asked me to repeat it even though it was just two drinks and a burger and lasagne. How hard is that to understand??! Secondly, when it did arrive finally my girlfriends lasagne looked like it had just been microwaved and was far from fresh. The salad was pretty brown too and not really appetising looking in the slightest. My burger was decent but there was barely any salad on it and for the amount we payed it was a rip off. Third, the cutlery was filthy so I had to go up and ask for more. Just try somewhere else. Not worth the hassle.

Food is just okay, fair drink selection. My biggest issue is that the bartenders/servers have no sense of good service. There is a long line at the bar and they are chatting with one another and moving at a slow pace. Never mind good service — most people in an airport pub have a plane to catch and being timely is important.

Actually one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in Dublin, I wasn’t expecting great things from airport food but ran out of time to eat before getting to the airport. We ordered 2 chicken fillet burgers about 10 minutes later one the kitchen staff came back to say they only had chips for one so we accepted a substitute but running out of chips when it’s a main component to many of their dishes is pretty poor. The real issue was the chicken fillets which were a really strange processed square of cooked ‘meat’ that had been reheated — not like a breaded fillet or a real chicken breast but like something you might find on a really cheap prepacked sandwich. At € 15 each this meal was not cheap but tasted really horrible. Also the door to the smoking area(a fire exit) was left opened all the time with cold air and smoke blowing into an area where food is served, when I tried to close the door staff reopened it so it wasn’t just open by accident. I regret not complaining at the time but it was just at the start of the Christmas Holidays(22 Dec) and we had paid before getting the food so there didn’t seem to be any point. Avoid at all costs!

Girl at the bar done my pet peeve of taking my order while serving the man next to me. When my meal came the server seemed a bit lost she had to go get cutlery then forgot to get Mayo we requested we had to request this from another server and we had to remind them we had drinks to get and I’m not sure why we never got them when I ordered at the bar. I ordered a chicken burger but felt cheated as there was a quarter chicken breast as my burger. Taste wise it was fine but pricey for what I got.

I had to wait for a friend to come and pick me up at the airport. As I didn’t felt to wait in the cold just in front of of the airport and was a little bit thirsty, I decided to wait at the Angel’s Share and drink a cider waiting for him. I sat on the couches in front of the bar, since I had a cart with 3 huge luggage on it I thought that would be more convenient. Since the man in front of me was in the same situation and there were no indication they didn’t do table service I thought they would come to me and ask me for what I want. So I waited like that about 10 minutes, but no one ever came to ask me if I wanted to drink something. So I decided to try to go to the bar so I got up and advanced a little bit to the bar, keeping my luggage in the side of my eyes, since everyone know what happens to abandoned luggages in airport… The waitress noticed me but didn’t make the effort to ask me what I wanted, so starting to be fairly irritated I decided to go truly to the bar this time. She came right in front of me, looked at me, and as I opened my mouth to ask her my cider, she turned her eyes to the girl a few meters ahead and asked her what she wanted. This time really irritated by this rudeness, I got back to my seat, not in the mood anymore to drink anything. But 5 minutes after that, a waitress finally got outside to clear the other tables, so I raised my hand and called her, asked her if it was possible to get a cider… She answered that no, I had to go to the bar for that, so I showed her all my luggage and asked her how? She agreed and I finally had my cider right after that… After 30 minutes of «fight» I finally had my 6 € cider… That I actually didn’t even had the time to finish since my friend arrived 10 minutes later… So go to this place if you really don’t have any other choice and don’t have a lot of luggage so that you can go to the bar by yourself because the service around here is really poor.

Fair enough place at the Arrivals hall in Dublin Airport. A bit noisy(it is an airport restaurant, so people are coming and going and talking), but clean and honest. I had the classic hamburger with bacon and a side of fries, and it was OK(the meat was a bit overcooked, though). Vegetables and bread were very fresh. Waiters are all polite and helpful. The prices are good for what they are offering. You can sit in for as long as you want/need without being asked to leave, which is pretty nice if you have to wait for someone coming in through a delayed flight or something. Their espresso coffee is great. Try it.
