Decent Thai food close to where we were staying. The special was good, if not a little bland– could’ve used a little bit more spice. The waitress however was excellent!

We had the mixed entrée starter and it was delicious. Full of flavour. Then we shared a massaman beef and rice. The dish was very tasty, lots of flavours. I’m used to having it with chunks of tender melt in your mouth beef. This had very thin slices. The potatoes were only just cooked.

Although the 2 starters 2 main 4 beers deal sounds like a good deal it is really not. The food is very average and the amount of food you get for 41 euro is not worth it. Save your money and eat somewhere else. Atmosphere is pleasant though and staff is fairly friendly.

We chose this restaurant because of the amazing two starters, entrees and a bottle of wine for 42 euro deal. Never anticipated it would be one of the best meals of our trip. The calamari and vegetable rolls were fresh served with the perfect sauces to match. The pad kee mow was cooked perfectly full of flavor and spice. The gang dang(ordered extra spicy) was great, lots of fresh veggies and the perfect amount of spice. Loved the curry. We split a bonnafi for dessert which was a great end to the meal. The house red wine that was included was fruitful and served our needs just fine. Couldn’t beat the deal anywhere! Jazz décor and music threw us off a bit but didn’t change our feelings on the restaurant.

Good food, affordable, and far enough away from city centre that it wasn’t too busy.

A place that is not afraid of making your food taste like it should. They deserve the«spice» in the name and you will love this place if you enjoy spicy food. It is fairly cheap as well, so perfect to bring a crowd. They do dinner specials as well, like 4 beers and food. Bring a healthy appetite and thirst!

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but I really don’t think there is a better value menu in town: 2x starter, 2x main and bottle of wine(or 4 beers) for 42 euro. Nothing really tickled our fancy though on this menu, so we went a la carte instead. My friend went for the special curry of the day(a green curry for only 9 euro including rice– ! They seem to have a different 9 € special on every day) and I opted for one of my all time favourites: Red Duck curry. It did not disappoint, it was loaded with duck(and no fatty bits!), pineapple, grapes and peppers. nom. Include the rice and it set me back 16 euro. We shared the Banoffee. The lazy man’s version of a banoffee: crumbled biscuits in a glass and banana/toffee/cream thrown on top. MEH! Could have made a better Banoffee at home to be honest. Not my number one Thai Restaurant(also located in an area you really don’t want to walk in after dark!), but if on a budget a good choice!

Every review you will read on here is accurate. What a find. A wee bit off the beaten track but well worth the effort. Food was stunning. And very reasonable. If this was on Grafton Street you could easily pay double and still be happy to do so. 5 stars.

Really good sea bass dish, a hidden gem in an unexpected location. They are also TripAdvisor certified at 4 stars too.

We found this small eclectic gem on our way down Talbot street. We were seated promptly, and given a menu with many available choices. The interior décor is simple and clean, soft colors and airy. The ambiance is welcoming and calming, jazz plays softly in the background. All of the dishes we ordered were presented in an attractive fashion, utilizing fresh vegetables as garnishes. We had crispy spring rolls(very light & crispy), Tom yung gung(otherwise known hot & sour soup) with prawns, pad thai with prawns, and house special # 57: stir fried sea bass with basil & kafir lime. All were authentic but the sea bass was perfectly season, crispy exterior but moist interior! Delightful. The basil was flash fried and both unique and flavorful. Brilliant. A good list of beers, & wine selections round out the offerings. Recommended!

This place is just around the corner from work and a great old reliable if feeling peckish at a certain time of night. Which as it happens, was last night! I went for the Thai spice platter which consisted of chicken satay skewers, spring rolls, chicken wings, wontons, vegetables in batter and calamari with olum sauce. All for the princely sum of € 12. You’ll have to go pretty far to beat that in fairness! Everything was spot on apart from the calamari which was bland and rubbery but still, top marks for everything else.

Excellent atmosphere and authentic Thai cuisine! I just happened to stumble in while waiting for my train to arrive at Connolly and I was pleasantly surprised. They play smooth jazz with accompanying decoration and the seating is very comfortable and casual. Prices were reasonable: about 13 euro for main dishes, 5.50 for beer, and they have a dinner for 2 for 42 euro that includes two appetizers, 2 mains, and a bottle of wine. If you enjoy your food spicy, you can even adapt the menu to suit your pallet. Highly recommended.

We chose this place because our hostel, located just across the street, recommended it and we weren’t at all disappointed. At about 13 euros per plate, they offer a daily special at a decent rate(9 euros). We got the plat du jour(veggies, and chicken in a spicy chili oil sauce) and the flavor was incredible. Simple but blissful. We’ve got four days in Dublin, there’s a very good chance that we’ll be back

I regularly get a take away from Thai spice and it is my go to Asian restaurant in dublin 1. They do a great daily/weekly special which comes with rice for 8euro. It comes with a very large portion size which I can never finish! I have also tried the duck dishes which are amazing too. I’m not giving it 5 stars as it lacks the vavavoom factor but that’s probably because I’m getting takeaway

I’ve had Thai Spice bookmarked for ages and finally got a chance to visit. The restaurant is a little hard to find but well worth the effort — the food is amazing! I had the pad see ew and it tasted like I was in Thailand, the flavours were amazing. If you are looking for an alternative to some of the established Dublin Thai places, this is the place to visit.

This place is quite a find! I had checked out the reviews on Unilocal and everyone seemed happy with their meal and the quality of food. The restaurant is not right in the middle of the city centre– it’s about a 10 – 15 minute walk or € 7 taxi ride from College street, but believe me, it’s worth it! We started with the sharing platter which was one of the best I have had– delicious chicken satay, calamari, parcels, wings, sweet corn cakes, dips and salad– fantastic! I then had the beef red thai curry with steamed rice which was quite spicy but delicious. You can ask for the meal to be mild or medium which I will do next time. I had a lovely glass of Sauvignon blanc which washed things down nicely. This was a highlight of my trip and I look forward to visiting it again!
