Subway

I have been to this subway a few times. This subway is in a very convenient location for me as I pass this on my evening walk home. I have found service here being really good at times, but also had the other side of service as well. It really depends on who is serving you I guess.
As far as food quality, I would say that subway is a huge global franchise. The great thing about a franchise like this is that they try to standardize everything. You know what you are going to get, whether you are a fan or not, in every location. Saying that, the food at this subway is comparable to any other subway. If I am running late and I am in the mood for a quick sandwich, which I do not need to make myself, they really have a monopoly in this area.

I must say I’m not a big fan of ready-​made sandwiches, and I like hot food when I get food for takeaway or to eat somewhere.
So Subway has something for me as I can have my sandwich toasted, it’s relatively cheap — especially with special offers and I can tell them what I want to have on my bread. It’s still fast food but slightly less greasy than other fast food.
However I feel their options are all too similar, I don’t really care what kind of meat is on my sandwich, so really most of the times the Veggie one would do it for me.
However last time I was tempted by the huge poster ad for their «Chicken Temptation» — breaded chicken breast, and I somehow was in the mood for that. Basically they put one or two full chicken breasts on your sandwich before they toast it. However, when it came to eating the sandwich, I felt no pleasure. I must admit I was very zoned out, so only halfway through my sandwich I could tell why I didn’t like it that much: The chicken was frozen! Deeply frozen, so even after toasting it, which made it a bit warm on the outside, it was still frozen inside, which ruined the whole tasty sandwich for me, and of course it would have been better without. By that time though I felt embarrassed about giving the whole thing back, and what are they gonna do anyway — toast me another frozen chicken — for longer maybe? And through all the good veggies away?
Anyway, so maybe it’s good looking out what you actually put on your sandwich. A special new idea might not be as great as you think, that might also be the reason why they didn’t have it before.
