DONOTUSETHISSALON. I booked an appointment through their webpage 4 weeks ago and received a confirmation email verifying my appointment so I thought all was well. I made the trek out to North Circular Road for my appointment on a Monday afternoon only to arrive at the salon and be told they were closed. The receptionist and the hair dresser offered very little help outside of calling the manager who was hard to reach. They proceeded to talk about me in some Eastern European language right in front of me while I waited. When the manager finally called back, she was absolutely rude and refused to even offer an apology, salon credit, or any type of compensation. She told me that I should have received a confirmation phone call which is not mentioned anywhere on the booking site and then proceeded to tell me that they aren’t responsible for the online booking site. My appt was booked over 4 weeks ago– couldn’t they manage a phone call to reschedule? If they aren’t going to honor their online appointments, they need not to offer the service. Horrible salon, rude staff, not even worth the effort.

I bought a voucher here for a wax from Groupon. It was very good value and they did a great job. I was a few minutes late, which made the lady very unhappy, but in the end she did a great job. However, she could have been a little friendlier. Jesus, you’re waxing some very intimate areas. We don’t need to be bffs afterwards.

I purchase a City Deal for a haircut, condition, cut and blow-dry for € 20 with this salon. I thought it was great value but soon realised why I should not be purchasing discount haircuts. Apparently the salon had bit off more than they could chew and were unable to cope with the influx in business. To make matters worse, you could only redeem your coupon Thursday– Saturday. I tried calling for a week and when no one answered the phone, I emailed. The first response was relatively quick but I then spent the next week(via phone and email) trying to get hold of them to confirm an appointment. It was only after sending an email threatening to request my money back from Groupon that I received a response. Against my better judgement, I agreed to take an appointment. Unfortunately, on the day of the appointment my bus was terribly late and when I realised I was going to be late I rang to inform the salon. I received such an attitude from the person on the other end of the phone that I was even more turned off the idea of letting them cut my hair. When I arrived at the salon I received more abuse and when I asked to speak with the owner, it was even worse. They then started speaking in their own language so that I could not understand what they were saying. The height of ignorance. I did not receive the haircut that I went to the salon to get and I will never set another foot in S.P.Y. to find out if they are any good at what they do. That evening I made an appointment with another salon, had my hair cut the next afternoon and paid only € 5 more than the City Deal.
