Very poor. Overpriced and bad quality. Had high hopes, place looks nice but I was disappointed. Plenty of choice in area, choose somewhere else!

Comfy little place that did a good cup of tea, tasty mini breakfast and very quick, pleasant service. Was quiet when I called in at 9:35am so not sure what it’s like if busy but I’d def come back again.

Rhubarb, I’m really sorry. I’ve got nothing but respect for your long(ish) history on Pembroke street, and you look really busy, so that means people like the food. But c’mon… what happened with the coffee? I guess it’s a lesson on getting what you pay for –but when I saw you were charging € 1.80 for a tall Americano, I thought we had a deal. What you gave me in that magma-hot cup felt less America and more NO. Sour, sticky and beyond boiling –no amount of sweetener or milk was going to save it. I’ll save my € 1.80 and stick to black tea when I’m on Pembroke street from now on.

Rhubarb café is a nice little café close to the city centre. I wasn’t so sure about it because of it’s bright green exterior, but friends had told me that they made really nice sandwiches and their coffee wasn’t too bad either so I decided to give it a shot. It’s a small place, which is split into two halves– one for takeaway customers and a sit-in café. Now, the coffee wasn’t actually that great, but the wrap was pretty nice. I had one with chicken and salad, not very brave but you can’t really go wrong with that combo either. They do paninis and sandwiches along with soup. Definitely a good spot for lunch if you’re in the area.
