First night in Dublin and we went for the not exactly traditional pub, but a damn good one. We loved our food and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Felt like a blend of a hip American gastropub food with cozy Irish pub feel and atmosphere. Lots of locals here and a good beer selection. All was a bit pricey but probably fits the neighborhood.

Best bar/pub in Dublin… And that’s saying a lot! Great selection of beers, especially local varieties on tap. Staff is so friendly– Rory is the best! Kept coming back and had great recommendations.

Cute private areas to chill and drink a beer. Love the atmosphere. We had the burger– I wouldn’t recommend, as it was«trying too hard». It was dry and it just had too much going on. The sweet potato fries were to die for, yummy chipotle sauce! Then we had the fish tacos– a definite«yes» — perfectly cooked and delicious taste! Service was good, a bit slow, but it was nice they weren’t pushy, just let us be. :)

I love this place! It has a very Alice in Wonderland, vintage, retro feel. Very funky place, love the little movie room and that you can write on the walls. Coffee could be better, but it’s a microbrewery not a coffee shop. I really like all the games they have and delicious sweet potato fries, yum! Service is good, very friendly staff, maybe a bit slow, but doesn’t take too much away from the experience.

Most favorite bar in Dublin. Relaxed atmosphere, good music(not traditional), very tasty food — fish tacos, hamburger, pulled pork and beef chilly are excellent(came back for more). You can play some board games if you like. And off course, super friendly staff.

I really like the P. Macs! One of my fav pubs in Dublin, chill and cosy, with kind of small rooms on the side(when they are available is sooo perfect!), games… Try their sweet potatoes chips as well(oh but remember that their kitchen closes very early)

Great pub that plays great music! It’s decorated somewhere between old man pub & hipster, has lots of random quirky little details. Has cute cosy looking snugs with doors on them, sadly I’ve never been lucky enough to nab one yet but the look cool, would be great for a small group or a date! If beer is your bag they’ve got a huge selection. Staff are friendly and sound. Lots of retro sweets behind the bar too which is a fun touch! Usually very busy in the evenings, can be hard to get a table.

P. Mac’s is a lovely pub a mere stones trow away from Stevens Green shopping mall. It has a wicked selection of craft beer and decent foodmenu. If you are just a little peckish you should try the bacon and parmesan cheese fries. They are f… ing amazing! If you just want to relax and read a book you should visit monday through thursday because it gets quite packed and noisy when the weekend comes. The furniture is a crazy mix of old stuff that they probably found at a yard sale and this choice of décor adds to the relaxed feel of the place. There are also some stalls you can retire into if you would like some more privacy and there’s a vintage videogame over by the bar if you would like to kick some street fighter ass :-) Board games are also available if you are into that stuff. I miss P. Mac’s already and can’t wait to get back there this coming december. Please take good care of the place for me:-)

I have been coming to P Macs since it has opened, and love their wide selection of beer. It always gets jammers though on weekends, and I definitely prefered the vibe when I came in on a tuesday evening. Easy to find a seat, but still enough clientele around to have that cozy feel. Well, it’s so dimlighted that it always has the cozy factor I guess. As I write this I am still daydreaming about the buttermilk chicken burger I had here last night(14 €). Wow, that was some serious good stuff, served with avocado spread, a slaw, lettuce and right amount of spice. The fries were served in a funky cup(hello hipster!) and garlic sauce on the side. Their menu had so many items on it that I wanted to try, although next time it will be hard not to go for THATAMAZINGBURGER again. Did I already mention my burger was absolutely fabulous?

P Mac’s is a nice place. Its very dark in here but not in a Dracula’s living room sort of way. Maybe in a middle aged man, who slicks back his hair, wears a three piece suit and dons a bow tie kinda way! The candle sticks look as if they fell fresh out of the pages of a Sherlock Holmes novel and would’nt look out of place perched on the mantlepiece in 221b baker street. Thats the kind of cool that this place oozes… Although its dark inside, the people who run this place are definitely full of bright ideas because the food being brought out to people looks fantastic. The Lagunitas IPA also looks fantastic might I add. They also have an array of board games. When I was a child I must admit I was probably given most of these as christmas presents and thought at the time that they should have been called bored games. But when you add some beer into the mix it can be a very relaxing way to kill a few hours here at P Mac’s and reminisce over the thought that your parents were actually cooler than you gave them credit for at the time! It can get quite busy here and sometimes you may have to share a table. Word to the wise do not play Jenga if you happen to be a table sharer, unless the other table sharers are inquisitive foreign tourists and desperately want to know what the Irish Banking system collapse looked like!

I recommend PMacs to my work colleagues so we stopped for a few drinks and dinner. Today I ordered the corn tortillas with pulled pork and sweet potatoes. Good food, few pints of Aspall cider and I was happy. My group were equally happy with the food, portion and very happy with the booth we got.

I don’t want to spend all of my time reviewing Dublin pubs on Unilocal,so I am focusing my efforts on the ones worth noting. We never got into P. Mac’s early enough for food, but we were able to experience the drinking here. It’s definitely popular, as when we came in on a Monday night all the tables were full. I assume being near the holidays and Trinity College have something to do with that. Luckily for us there were two spots at the bar to secure us for the night. Bartenders were awesome. Both knew their stuff, were able to make recommendations, and were just flat out friendly. My wife even got a free sample of something to see if she liked it before continuing with a full glass(she didn’t and didn’t, but it’s nice that they did that for us). Definitely a good spot for meeting with friends and just hanging out. Lively without being rowdy, great music playing. A perfect introduction to pub life in Dublin.

Nice alternative bar… Like being in your nanans dim living room which is a good thing for me! All the ipa and pale ales you would want — along with a good selection of wines, which I find great because I don’t like beer. They also do pizza… Delicious pizza! The staff are very knowledgable of their product!

It’s so dark in here so it’s like partying with yourself! I could see the fizzy colas behind the bar and boom scored myself one. The games etc to me are a bit stupid but each to their own. If they made the tables a bit tidier and put a few more lights in, I’d be a big fan, wouldn’t walk out either though!

How many times can I review this spot? One of the best bars in Dublin. Great beer, great staff. And if you get the booths… You’ll be having a great liquid filled day!

Really, really, really liked this bar in the heart of Dublin — a proper old fashioned boozer in style, with eclectic furniture and stylings thrown in around the place for good measure. The craft beer selection was one of the best I’ve seen around and the bar staff were really knowledgable about their products, I enjoyed a good chat with the barman about the Nogne beers they had on sale. The music was really good and the low level lighting at 6pm when we hit made me think it was my sort of place. It was rammed in here with it being Web Summit but this was all good as there was plenty of bar space to get your order in. Bookmarking this place for my next visit to DUB.

Stopped in for one drink after dinner. Place was hopping as I think it is most weekends. I was delighted to find they were serving Lindemans Framboise — it’s rare enough in Dublin itself but they have it on tap! Brilliant :) Yes it is a little dark and quite hipstery but so what? If you’re after a decent beer selection, great vibe, nice friendly staff & good service then this is the spot. Will definitely have to try another visit!!!
