Love, love, love. I love all things Irish. The bread… the butter… the pudding. We found O’Briens to be consistent and delicious and affordable. I love the way they toast the sandwich, I can still taste it.

As an American, I was confused with a few of the ordering terms and don’t remember the exact sandwich I ordered, but I know it was very good and one of the few restaurants I really enjoyed in Ireland.

Love this place… the(mostly) Italian girls working in here are so nice, and always remember my usual! Getting a toasted sesame bread sandwich with as many fillings as I like(I recommend the roasted peppers, relish and chicken) all for € 5…I think its a good deal… Specially when its served with a smile — makes such a difference! Also they have a very small, but nice little terrace area upstairs!

I love love love O’Briens sambos. I always have and even now a trip in to town on a Saturday is not complete unless I have lunch in O’Briens. I just think they do the best sambos ever! They have the creamiest coleslaw and the freshest bread that is not too thick and not too thin. They cut them into really cute triangles and serve them with a handful of really tasty crisps and they are held in place with tooth picks and blah blah blah! There really isn’t anything spectacular about the sandwiches or very creative about the choice but they just taste so darn good and fresh, the way sandwiches are suppose to taste!

If I am to big up a chain it has to be for a good reason. That is one of the stores in the chain that most stands out for me, the rebel in the school uniform if you will. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I will paraphrase what umpteenth others have said, they do sandwiches, lots of sandwiches in different combinations both filing wise and bread type wise. They also do soups and salads and coffee and tea, and you get the picture. For the most part I avoid OBriens, I think they are overpriced but here their price seems worth it simply because of it’s kick ass balcony. Excellent view of the Docklands. Stones throw from train, luas, buses if you want to fill up before a trip. But I love the view up there, worth the price.
