This is a great place to visit, especially if you love horses. World class race horses are bred here and stabled here and as you walk around you get a great feel for the love Irish people have for horses. My day was made when I was allowed to stroke a horse. The National Stud offers more than the horses though as it is also the site of the Japanese Gardens. This is a beautiful expression in gardening form of East meeting West. If you have kids, this is a brilliant way to spend a day as the open areas will give them lots of room to romp in.
