Drinks and food were good. Stayed at the hotel there and it was nice atmosphere. Get a Toblerone drink there, its pretty good.

Total Rip Off with HORRIBLE service. We were staying in the hotel and walked in based on the look of the place. We were given a horrible table in the back, although many other tables were available. We were only offered bottled water when tap was given to other tables. Ordered the fish and chips, which came with one small piece of fish! We ordered dessert because we were still Hungary and that too was a bust. Stay clear of this place.

I got fish and chips. One(granted good sized) piece of fish and skinny mcdonald’s style fries, kind of limp. Not BAD, but not really worth what it cost. And a smear of pea purée underneatch.

This is one best places to eat in Dublin, well recommended ! The quality of food is great, from the sharing platter as a starter to free fish for mains, finished off with fab deserts I can’t fault this place . Reasonably priced also, modern clean and lovely staff, go try this place out !

Wings, wings, wings! It’s all i can think of when anyone mentions this place. The recent renovation should put McGettigans on the map… I know that the hotel has increased a star since the renovation… so that is saying something. The drinks are reasonably priced, the service was excellent in a friendly, inviting way and the food was divine! I been there a few times with a group from work and we ordered large portions to share… and the sizes were plenty for us all. We had a mini taster menu, which included(you guessed it) Wings, BBQ ribs, chips, Cheese and Meat board, home-made breads… I means what’s not to love! I’m not a smoker, but outdoor area is pretty cool! Please do not judge this place by it’s location on the outside… the inside is fabulously redecorated, with friendly staff and amazing foods. It is must visit!

The Guinness was great, the service was attentive, the atmosphere was fun and inviting but the food just didn’t rise to the same level. I had the Loin of Pork special and it was very ordinary. The potatoes we average at best and the rest of the meal left no impression at all. I would suggest just trying a burger or board as it seemed better for the price based in what I could see on other tables. I will probably try this place again but not for a nicer type of meal.

A friend suggested to go here for lunch. I’ve never been before so can’t judge the difference the renovation had done but as per my friend it improved immensly. A lovely bright but still cosy design and friendly professional staff where the first impression — and that stayed. I went for their open crayfish sandwich on brown bread and it was delicious. I might try it next time on their flatbread — I realised too late what that is. So if I’m again in that area around lunch time I definitely come back especially as I found the prices quite ok too.

Decided to give it a whirl after reading a recent review. Excellent Lunch, a lovely goats cheese and beetroot salad, well dressed, well presented, the rest of the menu looks very good also, I will be back.
