Want cheap toothpaste from abroad? A nice pair of trainers? Chocolate bars five for a euro that you perhaps have three days to eat before they go out of date? Clothes, books, DVDs, knick-knacks, toys or makeup? It’s all here at Liberties Market. Housed in a maze-like hall, it’s a throwback to old Dublin, with stall holders willing to bargain and banter flying.

Need some socks? Maybe a notebook? Aholographic Jesus clock? Some sunglasses? And some shoes for your kid? You should probably go to Liberty Market, because you can get all of those things in one trip. This little indoor market is reminiscent of the sprawling markets of South America, but 100 times smaller. But it’s similar in that you can buy lots of different crap, cheaply. And it’s always crowded full of locals trying to get a good deal, and having a laugh. The vendors are all really friendly and if you buy enough they might be willing to bargain. A great little place if you’re on a budget.

The liberty market is open on fridays and saturdays and is a great place to find all those bargin buys. From well know make up brands to shoes and clothes and everything in between you can find it all in here for a fraction of the price of anywhere else. The sellers are friendly chatty and will help you as much as possible through the hussle and bussle!
