The concept is lovely, the ambience is perfect, the décor is superb… but the food is just a little lacking. Everything looks delicious but it’s just not worth the price. The apple tart was lack lustre and the crumble was decidedly tired. Maybe I’ve just had bad experiences here… Best advice is: drop in just for coffee and enjoy the music and atmosphere.

Leon is by far the best place to go for a pastry a coffee and a chat, if you feel up to treating yourself. Its expensive, but when you see all the cute little tarts and treats you completely know why! You can get cakes and tarts to order for birthdays and special occasions, and they are really delicious! The coffee is nice and strong with a really nice warm taste. Definetly worth the money if you have it!

The nicest tarts and pastries I’ve had in Dublin! It’s hard to choose what to have, but I would recommend trying the cheesecake(which comes in a range of different flavours). It is quite expensive but is definitely worth the money if you want a quality dessert, great coffee and great service. There are 3 Leon cafes within a few minutes walking distance of each other(one on Exchequor st., one on Wicklow St. and one on Trinity St.) so if one is busy try one of the other two. Besides pastries, they also offer sandwiches, filled croissants and soup as well as a range of main courses.

Leon is a French style pastisserie café that is a little on the expensive side but is great for a treat. From the moment you walk in it feels like walking into a café in Paris. The coffee is excellant and the pastries are delightful. A definite treat.
