If you live in Laural Lodge this is the only place within walking distance (for people who don’t like to walk too far). I was there mid-​week, on a Wednesday, and the place was empty. I thought the football would attract a few more people.
Seeing the bar empty gave me a chance to actually inspect the place. I’m usually here on Christmas Eve and the place is packed to the brim. Its actually a very nice and comfortable pub.
The drinks selection is your standard pub fare, nothing too out of the ordinary. Overall, a nice place for a drink with friends. Great if you’re a local.
