Very Berlin-esque Café full of hipsters. That said, do a great flat white that’s reasonably priced and very friendly staff … Definitely beats a Starbucks any day with its laid back atmosphere !

Situated in one of the coolest parts of Dublin you cant go wrong with kaph, their coffee is always good if you are there early be prepared to que as their regualrs are always there to get a coffee fix before work. Id recommend trying the matcha latte as its extremely tasty and gives you plenty of energy.

Excellent Java… Good location and a great selection of sweet treats. I had a Madeleine and it was good. The coffee compared favourably to some of the bigger better know places. It’s a small café but next time I am in Dublin I will stop off here for a caffeine fix!

Been to this place once with friends and I was really impressed with the quality of the coffee. Now I am not a big coffee drinker, so you should take this with a pinch of salt. But when I do drink it I have high standards so maybe take that pinch of salt back. The coffee was great and the service was really friendly. We were there on a busy Saturday morning and we barely had to wait. Once we left and we started walking around I started noticing how many other people were holding Kaph cups. Apparently everyone kept this secret coffee place from me for too long, but no more!

Voted the second best coffee shop in Dublin. Here they use the coffee of the moment 3FE which is delicious(not sure which blend). They also have Matcha available which is pretty delicious. You can also buy the 3FE bags of coffee(also a good gift for coffee lovers) also along with other coffee addict products. For paleo people they use coconut milk instead of soya milk(not sure if they use soya at all) a lot of their treats and sweets are also Paleo but they also have normal ones. Only ever got coffee to go here, I believe you can venture upstairs and sit down. The interior is very Amsterdam inspired(industrial). Staff are super friendly and they always chat to the regulars. Loyalty card also available(which I always loose: P)

Full-bodied, slightly bitter coffee. If that’s not the kinda coffee that tickles your fancy and/or you have an aversion to beards, give Kaph a miss. Kaph is my go-to place for a flat white south of the Liffey. The café itself is pretty small but there’s seating both at street level and upstairs. The staff do bring your coffee up to you if your balance and waiting skills aren’t up to the task. They don’t food but often have sweet treats to go with your chosen beverage. There’s a sign outside that says that their coffee was voted the 2nd best in Dublin, the best is 3FE’s, whose coffee beans they use. I’ve had coffee in 3FE and prefer Kaph’s. The place is mobbed on weekends but I’ve even managed to get a bit of knitting done in there during the week. Oh, they cater to lactose intolerant/allergic coffee lovers too.

All I have to go on for this review is one delicious coconut milk coffee. Tip top, no faults, a great place to sit with a coffee. They offer coconut soy as well, but I didn’t manage to try it. I am now on the hunt(and only making) coconut coffees. It is a great space with great coffee!

A tiny little place, probably better for coffee to go rather than sitting in. There are a few seats squeezed in on the ground floor and a few tables upstairs but it’s always full and tedious business bringing your coffee up the narrow stairs. The staff are very nice, service is quick, and there are a few sweet treats to enjoy with your coffee. I had a decaff latte here and found it to be bleh. This review probably won’t be useful for most people because decaff is basically blasphemy, but just in case I will say it because other decaff drinkers know it’s rare to find a delicious or even decent cup of coffee. I have had delicious decaff at Joe’s and for me that is the one to beat, the one here at Kaph is on par with many others: no flavor, just something warm to drink.

There are 101 coffee shops in every town in Ireland these days. Visit Dublin city centre and that figure jumps to 1001. From the generic Starbucks to the quirky roadside kiosk, Dubliners are spoilt for choice. With the coffee boom in play though it makes choosing one hard, and choosing a good one even harder. Enter Kaph. Kaph opened it’s doors in late 2013 on Drury street and is quite well known for being one of the best(if not the best) coffee spots within the city’s creative quarter. But for those who don’t spend their time strolling around town trying the latest hotspots, Kaph may have gone under the radar for some. When you first walk up to Kaph it’s quite understated. No bright lights or flashy logos that one would be used to, but more of a subtle, clean and inviting shop front with a big open window. You can see from first glance whether it’s buzzing or not — and it always is(one of the best signs when trying to decide whether a café is good or not). The general clientele are exactly what you would expect for this area: trendy, artsy type young adults(which isn’t a bad thing at all, they tend to know their stuff). The staff greet you with a smile, they welcome chat and are more than happy to advise you on their coffee selection. Apart from their drinks, they’ve a small range of pastries, cakes and even Paleo treats. Something for everyone to match with their coffee of choice. When I visited I ordered a flat white and headed upstairs. The vibe is a little quieter here, away from the noise of the coffee machines below. People working on their laptops. Friends chatting. A small pocket of calm inside the city. One of the things I liked most was the wall covered in art. Some of it even looked as if it was handdrawn at the table next to it and stuck up by the customer on the way out(and a very talented customer at that). Most importantly though, the coffee is great. I’m not to one to be able to really get descriptive with coffee, I’m not a connoisseur in the slightest. However I can be quite picky when it comes to what I like, and these guys have really hit the nail on the head. I’m not the only one who thinks this though — LovinDublin voted it the No. 2 coffee shop in Dublin(as the sign says when you walk in). They’ve rave reviews from newspapers and bloggers both at home and abroad. All in all, Kaph is a great spot. It might not be in your normal route around the city, but if you’ve got the extra 10 minutes to spare or simply want to try something new, definitely pay them a visit. You can thank me later.

They have a sign outside that says No.2 Coffee Shop in Dublin. But then where is the No. 1 Coffee Shop??? That’s where I wanna go! But since there’s no way of finding out(as there’s no official footnote on the sign to tell you where this ranking was sourced) you’ll have to settle for second best. again. as with almost everything else in your life. But hey at least we’re not settling for third right? And we all know the third best Coffee Shop in Dublin is Accents on that little street next to the unusually large Noodle place that nobody goes to. And nobody should! It’s nauseating and the primary colours scream«Bring Your Kids for a fun day out» Anyway to make this review in some way legitimate, Kaph is a very nice café with lovely people. They dont care if you’re a few cents short, they know their stuff and they clearly enjoy every minute of work! The conversations people have here seem to centre on bikes, beards and Netflix so make a mental portrait of them as you will. People get ready to have the second best Dublin coffee experience of your lives!

So it turns out their coffee is WAY more addictive than their matcha. It’s annoyingly the best coffee around by a mile, it’s really limiting my options on where I can go. Have yourself an extra star I suppose, Kaph.

Matcha green tea coffee. Soooo addictive! In general place is hipster and chill but in a good way. I genuinely enjoy it.

Upon high recommendation of my caffeine addicted friend, I decided to give Kaph a try. My first experience here was half a year ago, and if I were to purely rate my review on that day, I would probably give the place two stars because of their shoddy espresso and poor customer service. However, I considered giving them a second chance this time around and I have to say I’m quite pleased. I ordered a Matcha Green Tea Latte and it was made by a friendly barista; I mean half the experience is customer service, right? The latte was delicious, but let’s face it, you can’t really screw up matcha powder and steamed milk. The only thing I didn’t like about the place was the seating area. They have ~5 tables upstairs, so there’s not a lot of room if you need to get work done. This is more of a lets-chill-for-a-second type place rather than a i-need-to-work-on-this-proposal type place. They do, however, have an open WiFi network, so by all means, work away; just keep in mind their tables aren’t intended as such. But I find that most coffee shops in Dublin operate this way, so I won’t deduct any stars for that. I certainly need to come back and give their espresso a try, so stay tuned for an update!

Dear Kaph visitor, Did you know that Kaph(also spelled kaf) is the eleventh letter of the Semitic abjad? Including Phoenician Kāp Phoenician kaph. svg, Hebrew Kāf, Aramaic Kāp Kaph. svg, Syriac Kāp, and Arabic Kāf(in Abjadi order). The Phoenician letter gave rise to the Greek kappa(), Latin K, and Cyrillic. Well? Did you knew? I just told you. Some extra and free information to start the day, besides a cup of coffee. Because I’m your Unilocalfriend. That’s why. Kaph is also a place in Dublin where you can buy speciality coffee and treats, only that’s no wise information to show off about when you are on a birthday. I loved this place. What I especialy liked was their honesty. On the signboard it said: «Voted second best coffee in Dublin». It made me smile :-)

On a sunny day there are few places I would rather be in Dublin then siting on the bench outside Kaph. It’s pretty tiny inside but has a lovely sunny bench outside which is the perfect place to people watch. Located just beside georges street arcade there is always a bit of action on this street. They do good coffee and a great matcha green tea also have very good gluten free treats !

As it is said distance makes the heart grow fonder and this saying couldn’t be more matching considering my currently long distance relationship with Kaph. Kaph is like my little happy box in the heart of Dublin´s city centre, it’s the mix of excellent service, good music, relaxed atmosphere and not to forget the perfect cup of coffee. It doesn’t matter if you go in for a take away coffee, just a quick coffee with a friend or just take a seat along the window and enjoy a almond hot chocolate, coconut matcha or almond flat white and let the world pass by. One thing for sure the quality of coffee, friendliness and coffee knowledge of the staff will never let you down. While writing this long time overdue review I realized how much I miss my little happy box at the moment so if you looking for an overall amazing coffee experience there is no better place then Kaph!

Great coffee! I’ve been here a couple of times now and have to say I just love their coffee. I also have a bit of a thing for their Madeleines. They’re lovely and fresh and go so nicely with the coffee. This morning I think they’re serving 3FE Kaph Blend that was only roasted yesterday! It’s so nice that I’ve bought a bag of the beans to bring home. Any time I’ve been here it’s been packed and can be hard to get a seat but it’s definitely worth a visit even if you just want to grab coffee to go because it’s full of hipsters ;)

I’m really starting to like Kaph! I have heard of them but never really checked them out until last weekend. They’ve got some great pastries and flavourful local coffee(3FE, you guys!). They don’t really have much place to sit indoors and sip coffee but it’s a perfect spot for some coffee on the go. I haven’t tried the Green Tea Latte which people seem to rave about in their reviews, but you probably want to try that if you aren’t a coffee fan.

Great selection of coffees that will satisfy every coffee lover. I had their Noisette today, after work, and it was fantastic. The staff were very friendly with every one and they seemed to love what they were doing. Smiling and laughing and making great coffee to every one. The place was very busy, that I had my Noisette near the counter. The barista guy asked me if i liked my coffee and he seemed very into what he was doing. Thats how I love my cup of coffee made with love and best coffee-ground(3fe).

I really love this small café! Especially since they serve an extremely delicious matcha latte! I came back twice during my short weekend trip in Dublin! It’s that good! Baristas were all very friendly too and seemed to love what they’re doing. Wish this café was in Glasgow!
