When I was home for Christmas my sister made me watch Food Inc, all about the horrible treatment of cattle and chicken in the American food industry and the dangers that it holds for us as consumers. I’ve always preferred the taste of free-range and organic food as it is and always try to purchase it when I’ve got the money. Downey’s is like a haven for all organic meats. They’re food is just so fresh and lovely you can’t go wrong. The awards they’ve won speak volumes! Like Q pointed out they’ve got a selection of meat that comes from faraway places. Now I’ve never had the crocodile, but Ostrich meat is absolutely delicious and can be turned into yummy, juicy Ostrich burgers. The miraculous thing is that it’s healthier than usual burger meat as well! A win win situation all around!

Yup, its a butchers shop… again. Can it be that Q holds these places in such high revere that he is incapable of walking by without dropping in to every one he passes just to grab a quick chop(grabbing a quick loin just sounded wrong). However this is one of the special ones… not because it is all Organic(and it is), not because the meat all tastes great(and it does) but because of the type of meats purveyed… I have bought crocodile, kangaroo and ostrich here as well as Bison — tremendous when you want to impress the mother-in-law. How does crocodile taste I hear you ask? — chickeney fish — rather than fishy chicken I guess, I used lemon juice with it, not at all bad!
