Job Seeking Unilocalers beware! I know times are hard and people are desperate for work but please don’t fall for these scams! You’ll see their adverts everywhere offering well paid jobs and training, but the old adage holds true — «if something’s too good to be true then it usually is». They’ll promise you that it’s not a door to door sales pitch, but it is. They’ll promise you a wage, but it’s only for commission. They’ll lie through their teeth to get the vulnerable and desperate to work for them. They don’t care — there are thousands of vulnerable and desperate to replace you once you’re burned out. It is disheartening that in these times when so many people need help that this type of scam is popping up to take advantage of our young and perhaps-too-trusting. Why should such companies care? They see themselves as having a job when they could be unemployed like so many. They’re happy, the money you were promised from sales goes straight to the top and all you’ll get for your efforts is a well-rehearsed deception, promises and more lies. For the sake of your confidence and integrity don’t be lulled into this type of scam. There is a recession on, people are desperate and things seem at their worst but things will get better. Some other people, however, are just sick.
