OK, so goodbye to my tenuous hold on being cool as of… now. This place is where every piece of Government publication is available to the public, from reports on the decay of the Gaeltachtaí to Lisbon Treaty junk. It’s all there. And if you’re in any way interested in being a contributing member of society, it’s not the worst place you could go to start off… just be warned… legal writing and that is like another language. Easy accessibility physically does not imply that it’s easily accessible mentally. At all.

For all us nerds out there who just can’t enough of Geological Inventories of counties or General Report on the Activities of the European Union not to mention Irelands participation in the IMF fund and the World Bank annual report, then head up to Molesworth street and your in for a treat. Yes its not the most mainstream of places I’ll admit and its probably going to be frequented by the more scholarly among us. But the Gov Publications office is certainly very visible with the staff always ready to help and has a myriad of Government reports, Bills, Oireachtas debate records, EU reports as well as most World Trade Organisation reports. If your really just not interested they do have some pretty flashy and cheap Diary’s in the run up to Christmas, why not pick up a copy of the constitution while your there.
