Great selection of beers, wines and spirits, lovely and knowledgable staff.
Went in here recently with a friend not really knowing what I wanted to drink. However, the staff were very helpful and sorted us out with a good mixture of craft beers to keep us going for the night.
The rest of the customers seemed to be very familiar with the staff and the off-​license, which is always a good sign in my opinion.
The staff were spot on. The drinks were just to my taste. Will definitely buy from there again.

This is the best place in Dublin 7 to buy beer. They have a massive selection of craft beers from all over the world and loads of deals and offers as well.
They also have a wide range of high end whiskeys and spirits which their staff love to talk about and offer recommendations on.
This place also delivers if you go to their website. If you are looking to source a drink you haven’t been able to get like an obscure beer or wine these guys will help you with that too.

I love this place!
Small but perfectly formed, this has to be one of the best off licences in Dublin. Ok so it is tiny, but the selection is so good. There is a fridge with an extensive craft beer selection, I think it is one of the best selections I have seen. The fridge is small for the huge selection and you will notice staff constantly refilling from the stock room.
Most of the space is given over to wine, and again there is a great selection and different option to what you’ll find in Tesco et al. I also find prices reasonable enough, won’t get a cheapest Chilean here, but not crazy prices. There is a small spirits section behind the counter that has a surprisingly large selection of spirits and liqueurs. The staff are very friendly and ready to provide advice, very lucky to have this as my local ;-)

Banter: It’s what a girl from Yorkshire craves. (Shut up I’m honourary northern. Forget the Bristol roots. I don’t even have a farmer accent, dammit.) And when it comes in craic form, particularly regarding alcohol, she’s in heaven.
I really liked this place.
The lads were great when it came to talking craft beer; their fridge has a hearty selection that any alester would be proud of – yes, a word I have just now coined. Beyond your BrewDog and your Magic Rock. (Not that those are to be sniffed at. They are to be consumed with gusto, also.)
You need know nothing more than I went in seeking a few brews, and came out a woman endowed with fine beers of the lesser-​known kind. Plenty of spirits etc too, and blah. Good prices for Dublin, I reckon. (That’s guesswork. I ain’t a local.)
It made for a great evening. Rad.

Big fan of this place and love having it right around the corner from my house! The guys in here are really friendly and will happily sort you out with wine or beer selections from their vast array.
If you’re one for craft beer, they’ve got it all. If (like me), you’re not, they can talk you through the myriad of options and recommend something you should be happy walking away with.
Same goes with wine — I’ve often asked for their recommendations before and they’ve always come up trumps.
Their prices seem to be pretty standard; not to expensive, not too cheap.
I’d say the spirits selection isn’t the best, so that would be one thing that I’d personally like to see expand, but then again, the wine and beer thing seems to be their main business model, and I presume what sells in the area. So they might say to me in response; «If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!»

Recommended this place by Emily C who lives 5 mins around the corner and told they had a great selection of beers I was initially thinking they’d maybe have the odd good craft beer but no no no, upon arrival I was taken into a world of fine fine beers from all over the world — and lots of it!
There’s a giant fridge in the back with all sorts of American rarities, European amazingness, lots of British craft and even Irish (which I thought was good to try seeing as I was in town — not too bad, needs a few more hops…). The truth is I could have been here all day deciding if I wasn’t with my chums and off for dinner so after a quick 5 min chat with the super helpful/​extremely knowledgable guy in the back went on my way with my tasty wares!
I imagine there’s some great wine on offer too if you look for this sort of thing but I was fully in blinkers on mode and went straight for the beer. Next time I’m in town I’ll be paying a return visit.

Craft beer has become a pricey tipple but this place has a solid selection. If you need a few items then order on line and collect it as the shop is small and hard to navigate when more than 3 people.
Staff friendly enough but sometimes you get them on a bad day. I tend to go here or blackrock cellar or mchughs. Price around as there is a difference.

An incredibly good off license. They’re constantly rotating their stock of beers so there’s always something new to try. They’ll always a few craft beer stalwarts though. I’m amazed at how they fit so much into such a small shop. The staff are very helpful, friendly and their suggestions have never led me astray. You can have a good laugh with them too. As craft/​speciality beer shops go they’re not bad value and they do very good special offers.

I strolled in here late one evening to view the wine collection and thought I’ll nip up the road to tesco. A small selection and over priced.

IMHO it’s the best Off-​License in the country.
A never-​ending list of what’s available from all over the world and I’m talking the good stuff … not the «piss» that most people seem to drink (and still pay way too much for when they are out at the pubs).
The few times that I’ve hosted beer tastings in Dublin I had these guys deliver, for free, the 30+ bottles, large and small, right to the door where the event was taking place.
The guys who run this place are also very friendly, knowledgeable and even worked with me to narrow down my list when I had to choose some top beers of the world for the tastings.
You can also use their well-​built website to pre-​order and then pick up (or have them deliver) so that you know they have things in stock or what their current deals are.
Even if they are not your «local offie» check them out … you won’t be disappointed.

The only place to buy good wine and beer in Dublin 7… These guys know their stuff. Their selection of fine wines, at excellent prices, and range of beers are amazing. You can spend anything from about 8 euro upwards on wine, and it’s 100% better than any deals in Tesco because the wine is better quality. At xmas i bought beer a hamper between my 2 brothers, which they loved, and it only cost 40 euro!!. they got a great selection of beers from around the world, and i’d highly recommend it as a gift. And if your not sure of your wines just ask, they will go through them with ya. The guys are always helpful.

For wine of beer you won’t go far wrong here.
Any specialsed beers I’ve looked for, if they didn’t have them, they ordered them in for me.
As far as wine goes, I’ve never had a bad recommendation. They really know their stuff and the selection is amazing.
Take the time to chat to the guys. They are always friendly, always willing to help and I’ve picked up a lot of information from them.
I really can’t recommend these guys enough.

Excellent service and selection.
The biggest selection of world beers in the city by a country mile, from all the old favourites to soem of the harder to track down American crafts and a surprisingly well-​priced range of 750ml bottles of Belgian ales — if it’s available in Ireland then you’ll get it here for sure.
Really helpful staff too, went in with some very specific hop requests and the guy went well out of his way to help me out, searching online when he wasn’t fully sure of what to tell me and suggesting some good forums for me to check out too — really impressed he took the time.
Their website is well worth checking out as well, as they’ll deliver your booze to your door for free if you spend over 50euro.
Handily located just across the road from L. Mulligan Grocer too, head in there for a couple of pints and then to Drinkstore to empty your wallet on some serious impulse buys… that’s how it normally works out for me at least!

How have I not written about Drinkstore before? I did not think off license was a category I guess.
This tiny little place in Stoneybatter contains probably the largest selection of beer in Dublin and possibly the country.
Sure they have the normal yellow fizzy stuff but the real beauty of drinkstore is the selection of Irish Craft Beers and World craft Beers.
Drinkstore manages to source beer you will not get anywhere else in Ireland (with a few exceptions of course) and even some beer that is hard to get in other countries as well.
For me, a trip to drinkstore can be an expensive but rewarding visit. I will fill a box or bag of random beer I have never had before. They get so much new beer in every month that there is always something new. I could spend € 60+ on a visit and have only a dozen or so beers, while this might seem like terrible value, I know what I am buying is the best of the best and I come away feeling I am getting value for money.
Some specials on Craft beer are the 4 for € 10 on Sierra Nevada beers (US microbrewery) and more recently and in my opinion, more importantly is the 4 for € 10 on the Carlow Brewing beers. Getting the wonderful IPA and the velvet smooth Leann Follain for € 2.50 each is an absolute bargain considering the price of these world class beers in any other off license.
Drinkstore takes orders online either for pickup or delivery anywhere on the Island for a very reasonable fixed price.

It was my Mam’s birthday last month so I decided to present her with something that she would appreciate — booze!
Not that she is a raging boozer but she does like a tipple or three like her daughter.
Yet she suffers from the Irish Mammy syndrome of being unable to treat herself to the finer things in life and in drink. It may taste like diluted piddle,

I loaded my bag with as many different beers that I could manage. From Belfast Blonde to Dungarven to Brooklyn to San Francisco to Munich and more in between.
For such a tiny shop they have a great selection of beer and it was a treat to do a tasting session with the parentals and not feel like we were drinking fizzy chemicals just cause it was cheap. If I can avoid a sore head the next day for some extra €‘s then I will.

Oh my stars and stripes –Drink Store gets it right!
Scratch the surface on this gem and find a staff that’s passionate about the brands of booze they sell. Besides a heartwarming library of rare beers are the prerequisite staples like Heineken and Guinness, plus a thorough catalogue of good spirits and wines.
Most days you’ll see Richard the owner about the place; start a conversation with him about American craft beers and you’ll be delighted with the results. He’ll tell you how Drinkstore happens to have a very smart importer on their roster (so true) and can get quite a few American microbrews (hurrah!). Start making your Christmas list now.
Be sure to pick up the latest Goose Island (a Chicago brewer with year-​round appeal) or anything from Downingtown, PA’s Victory Brewery if it’s in stock. Prices for these beauties are not cheap, but not overblown –just don’t expect to pay Hino prices for 3 Monts ale.
