Dec Elite Event: Christmas Sparkle!

Wow, what a pleasant and yummy night. Thanks to Annie for organising it ¹⁰⁄₁₀ to her.
I’d not heard of the Bakehouse but now I am a big fan.
The décor is homely and warm. The staff friendly and very attentive.
The food really impressed, nothing disappointed. The mini stew at the start warmed the cockles. Then their open sandwiches showed the quality of their meats. Corned beef and turkey were the standouts for me, very yummy. For dessert we had a medley of most of the sweet things The Bakehouse have on offer and they were divine.
I will definetly be back here for some grub and will be telling others to go too.

I had a great time.
Yes I was late. Very late. Yes I was stressed, having had a day of meetings, the last starting 5 minutes before I was supposed to be at this event, but YAY I made it and I had a lovely time.
The food was fantastic — FANTASTIC — and even though I was late, the staff at the Bakehouse went the extra mile to make sure that all my servings were warm, that my glass wasn’t empty and that my sweet tooth was satisfied. The Decór, as many people have commented on, was just gorgeous and the event was very much enough to put anyone in the Christmas mood.
A lovely evening with lovely people, a particularly lovely host and organiser and hopefully a portent for great things yet to come!

Wow! I was not expecting such a reception! I was blown away by the food an service. My taste buds were brought back to my childhood in the 80’s with such delightful sweet cakes.
We had the Guinness beef pie to start then a taster of turkey, pork belly and corn beef.
I had nothing but good things to say. The food was tasty and had that real homely feel and the staff were so nice.
Loved the 50’s style of our hostess too. The interior is fab too.

I must say I was impressed thoroughly with this years Christmas event! Joanne and her staff did a brilliant job with the décor and ambience for the evening, not to mention the heavenly food they had to offer!
We also can’t forget Annie who put all of this together for us! It all was quite lovely and the new Elite watches we received were really the cherry on top of this whole brilliant event!

Annie sure knows how to throw and Elite event. Well this was actually my first one, but I heard the stories of some of the others and I can’t wait for the next one.
And part of throwing a good event is finding the perfect venue… and The Bakehouse was the perfect place for a holiday shindig. It has a modern vintage feel without being kitschy, the food is AMAZING (!!!) and the staff incredibly nice and Joanne (the owner) so into what she is doing it is quite impossible not to love the place.
So a mad shout out of thanks to Annie, Joanne and the rest off the Bakeshop staff for a brilliant way to spend a Tuesday evening.

So much more than I expected!
Due to the name, I really only expected baked goods, such as deserts and pastry and had heard you could get sandwiches but had NO IDEA that they had soup, salad, and so much more!
As a vegetarian I got a vegetable broth soup, and the name was very deceptive as I thought it would just be broth with nothing in it but it was very hearty and filled with carrots and onions. Little bit of spice at the end as well. My entrée was a salad with mulled wine pear – something that I plan on making because it was so delicious! I also want to know what they do to make their mulled wine so good – best I’ve ever had! The desert plate was amazing because we got to try a bit of everything; my favourite was the coconut one and the crème one with the pink top; my least favourite (not ones I did not like, just least favourite) were the chocolate muffin because I thought the frosting was too hard and the one with nuts as I just did not like the flavours.
The shop is really cute inside and even cuter when decorate for Christmas! I love the rolling pins on the wall and giant clock! The staff are amazing and really friendly.
Can’t wait to come back!

Yummy cakes, delicious local food, digital watches… what a great event. Credit to Annie for organising it, and the staff at the Bakehouse to going to such an effort.
They put out a great spread, but the stand-​outs for me were the beef and Guinness pie, the corned beef and savoy cabbage, and basically the entire cake selection.
The Bakehouse itself was a real find. I’d be wary of describing anywhere as charming, but in this case I’ll make an exception. I’m struggling to think of a better place to enjoy some traditional Irish cooking. I’ll definitely be making my way back soon.
