Day Tours Unplugged

Did the Wicklow/​Glendalough tour including a trip to Malahide Castle.
As a student, I was attracted to the under 30 euro fee and excursion of iconic settings where films such as Braveheart and PS I Love You.
The bus was very comfortable and ample time was given at each location to explore the grounds.
All in all it was a very affordable tour with beautiful views of Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glendalough falls, Guinness Lake and Sally Gap.

I try not to hand out stars willy nilly, but I think that Day Tours Unplugged deserves at least four stars for providing a tour guide that cared, didn’t rush us yet kept on schedule (this merits two stars), and provided a great value.
I went on the Wicklow day tour that they provide for 26 euro (24 E if you are a student), and got to sit back and relax while seeing the gorgeous sites of county Wicklow and listen to the odd ball and humorous tales of our tour guide.
To go all the places we went in 8 hours it would have cost more to rent a car and do it my self and most likely twice as long navigating the back roads.
We went to the hand weaving town of Avoca, est. 1724 and home to the series Ballykissangel, Glendalough, Sally Gap and drove on the military road.
The company also offers two other tours that start at 32 Euro that take you to Braveheart Castle (for those of you who don’t know, that entire movie was filmed in Ireland), the coast, Howth and the hill of Tara.
The other tour takes you on their ancient kingdoms of Ireland tour.
I would definitely go on another of the offered tours if someone comes to visit me from across the pond.
