Good carvery in a nice atmosphere. Helpful staff and a pleasant air about the place. Bit pricey(ranging from 9 to 11 euro) but nothing to empty your pockets

Very good pub grub here. Wide range menu with a bit of everything on it. I had the mix grill big portions and very nice! Staff also very friendly. Small negative was the wait but I’d defo go back

Great local pub, roaring fire going all year round(which is entirely unnecessary in the summer but lovely all the same). Reasonably priced good food and a homely atmosphere(with a cosy bar for the sports fans to watch the football without ruining the family vibe).

The layout and décor of the lounge is clean and modern with lots of space however it lacks character and atmosphere. The pub also really lets itself down by the incompetent and obnoxious bar staff. I would suggest going up the road to the hole in the wall which is one of the best pubs in Dublin.

I was there for dinner with my husband and father-in-law one evening sometime last year(as it was full in our usual pub, The Hole in the Wall), and was pleasantly surprised with the dinner. I had the steak sandwich(don’t know the proper menu title for it), but it was simply delish. Since then I haven’t been back there until a friend convinced me that they have a really good carvery as well as really good lasagne and should meet up for lunch on a Sunday. And suffice to say, both are true, and if you get half portions(small), it’s really worth it as you get same amount of veg and potatoes. So all in all, if you are in the area/vicinity of Phoenix Park, don’t just go to the Hole in the Wall, try Cumiskey’s, you won’t be disappointed.
