Crunch Fitness Premier

Wondered if I had walked into a strip club or not but it did have the great needed for me to get the job done..

I find this gym very strange. When you first walk in it looks amazing and nothing like a gym should look to be honest but gives you the impression that is is very fancy and higher class but it really isn’t. The machines are nearly always broke and they are over stocked on the stuff people don’t use and under stocked on the machines people like to use. There staff at the desk are friendly but not well trained but that doesn’t matter as all i like to do is work out. The locker areas are always a little smelly and the shower system is just shocking as it doesn’t know what hot water is.
Basically what i am saying is this gym is a lazy persons gym its good to go sit by the pool but really bad if you actually want to work out as nothing works and is always packed from 5 – 8.
It is well over priced and they never gave me any discounts but friends of mine that went to look at the place that have no connection with the gym were getting different prices and much cheaper than what i was paying as a loyal customer and that’s why i canceled my membership took over a year before i did but i should of done it a lot sooner.

The best thing to be said about Crunch Fitness in Temple Bar is about it’s convenient location. Their equipment is incredibly sparse. From 5 to 8 the little gym is packed and there’s little reason trying to get a decent workout in during that time. The spa area is nice, but if it’s value for money you’re looking for, this is not the place for you. The gaudy, luxury motif is somehow ironic given the fact that something is always breaking down on either the gym floor or in locker room area. The small staff seem to find it difficult to cope with the amount of upkeep that seems to be required to keep the place in top form. This gym is very expensive and it’s simply not a good deal considering all the draw backs.

It was nice to visit them when I was in Dublin. I am from italy and I use to have pilates and yoga lessons, and have some sauna time.
The club here is so cute and experiencial. I used to think that the location, the ambient where u go to have your lessons is so important to obtainn your objectives.
And what I found was a great open space, luxury-​funny-​kitsch furnitures with crazy amazing glasses to see the river and centre of dublin.
Machines were brand new, I did not try classes, but I would love. Sauna is pretty nice, the small pool was relazing, maybe not really functional to swim seriously.
I think is a place where recharge and have a nice experience with ourselves.

I’m no expert on gyms but I’ve had my fair share of experiences. Crunch is pretty glamourous so from an interiors perspective you’ll feel like a millions euros just walking into the place ;) — It’s an intimate gym, that is dimly lit and fairly compact in its lay out. I like how they keep things simple. If you’re a «gym junkie» it’s probably not the place for you but if you just want to get active and shape up, this will fast become your mecca. It’s well equipped with plenty of different machines to suit everyone. Interesting background music that ranges from Hardcore Eurotrance to ummm the softer side of Beyonce. I’m not complaining: P The pool area is nice and a great spot to take it easy and recover from a good work out. All in all I love this place and think the staff are über-​friendly! Last piece of advice, Avoid Monday evenings. Place is packed!

Nice looking gym, cardio room are equipped with different machines. The fitlinxx program are very good for training.
Their weight area are very limited with training machines. I loving attending classes, but, their class quality are not the best. The yoga and Pilates are taught by non-​qualified gym instructors, and I heard that they treat their staff very poor. Overall, I think its a ok gym for workout in off-​peak hours, their location is fantastic, but if your looking for quality classes, this is defo not on my recommend list.

So… finish work and rush to the gym… or before work… off peak maybe!!!
this place is good to work out if you are a city person. the facilities aren’t good; the gym part has nice and good quality machines, the pool is not great at all. it could get very busy with four people, it is too small but if you manage a place you will get to swim.
the place is very dark (some people like it) and it is true that the building looks very fancy but it needs constant maintenance, the changing areas mainly.
The Crunch in Temple Bar is very small and it gets very busy sometimes making difficult the time people dedicate to get fit, specially if you are in the middle of the city running from one place to another trying to stretch your day.
I particularly swim and if the pool is busy I get very disappointed because I will be focus on doing my sport with no hassle and my schedule will be the upset for the rest of the day… you probably will need to book a time and space before going there to get fit.
Now the calm is here when no rush hours are involved and then you will get to use the facilities with no problem, then you can enjoy working out or swimming as well as having a nice sauna.
the steam room is very nice but the jacuzzi is badly needed!!!
For the Fair City this place is good just we need to adapt to the rush or off peak hours.

Location, location, location.
The Good
There are lots of cardio machines about 30 treadmills, 20 cross trainers, 20 bikes and some rowing machines. There is a good selection of weight machines as well. There is no problem getting a cardio machine during peak hours.
The Bad
The free weight area is rubbish lots of dumbbells but only one bench press, no squat rack and no where to do dead lifts. I usually go during off peak hours and I have to queue to use the bench press.
The changing rooms are down in the basement and are a bit disgusting. They stink and there is black mould growing in the shower cubicles. During busy times you need to wait for a shower and the water system cant cope with the volume of people so often the shower has only cold water.
They had a great yoga teacher but she got replaced with somebody who was a fitness instructor with little yoga knowledge. The better instructors have disappeared over the last couple of months as well. The swimming pool is tiny and it is not worth doing lengths in.
I really want to like Crunch because it is located close to my work and I know from past experience that if it is not convenient for me to goto the gym I wont go. But it is a expensive gym with at best mediocre service.

This is easily the most bizarrely decorated gym I’ve ever been to, but I kind of love it. It’s all very over the top and gaudy. If you could describe a gym as being goth, well, this is it. As you walk into the reception area, there’s a lit fireplace, the walls throughout are black, and chandeliers and flickering candelabras sort of light the gym. If there’s one thing I don’t like about this place, it’s that the lighting is a bit on the dim side.
As far as equipment goes, there are probably close to 50 treadmills, quite a few ellipticals, bikes, etc. in the cardio area, with the weight machines and free weights in the same open-​plan room. It all seems to be well-​maintained, and I never saw any broken equipment. The lower level of the building holds the changing and showering rooms which are very clean, along with a small lap pool (just a few lanes).
They have classes, but I haven’t been to any. Overall, I’d recommend Crunch over other gyms I’ve been to in the city centre (Jackie Skelly, Fitness Dock).

I love this gym. It’s my purple chandeliered haven which looks like Café en Seine but without the alcohol. Offering everything from FitLinxx cardio machines and Body Sculpt to a stunning swimming pool and decadent changing rooms, this is the best gym I tried out in the city. And believe me, I shopped around.
If you’ve not used FitLinxx machines before — they’re great! It records your programme for you and guides you on the weights machines so you know you’re doing everything right. You log all your exercise each time and then receive a monthly email report which is really detailed — it even tells you how many ice-​cream Sundays you’ve worked off. Admittedly, my last month was embarrassing… but it is Christmas!
Crunch Fitness also runs free yoga and pilates classes, only charging you if you sign up and don’t go, which is a great motivator! The range of classes is impressive, starting from 7am and varying from summer to winter. The staff are friendly and the instructors always on hand to help out.
If you’re going to get fit anywhere — it’s here. It’s also no more expensive than the other city centre gyms — it’s just better. Now I just need to get back to work off all that pudding before I become one!

Located in the heart of Dublin Crunch Fitness Temple Bar is a lovely 5-​star gym located in the heart of Dublin city Centre, just off the south-​side end of the O’Connel Bridge. The gym is convenient for public transport, such as buses, Dart, Luas and city centre parking of your choice. Crunch offers a large gym, with lots of treadmills and other cardio instruments, a large weight lifting area for girls and boys, as well as stretching mats for warming up and cooling down. The gym is also computerised so you can keep track of your progress and staff offer training and make your own work program individually suited to you. Throughout the gym there is nice sofas too for relaxing and chatting to friends you will inevitably meet and bump into at the gym. There is also a small pool, good changing facilities, sauna, steam room and solarium. Throughout the décor is stylish modern and trendy and makes it a fun place to be to work out.
