Awesome coffee, toasted cheddar and tomato and butternut squash soup. Yummy & hit the spot on a cold windy Dublin day!

Really starting to get addicted to this place. I think why I like it so much is that it’s really great coffee but just not overly coffee pretentious as an establishment. It’s inviting for both the connoisseur and the regular joe(excuse the pun). I remember first getting one of their coffees when they were simply a aluminium cart along the quays. Now they’ve a few fixed locations around the city and it’s great to see a little chain being born that isn’t Starbucks or Costa. They must be doing well enough and I’m really happy to see that. The Leinster street premises(which is practically Nassau street) isn’t too far from my apartment. One of the main reasons why I’m always visiting. However there are a number of places where I could get coffee on my walk there, including a few big names, but I always choose Coffee Angel — so even if you don’t live close by I’d still consider checking it out. The place is always busy enough when I go, but not too busy. Even as a small café I can always manage to get a seat. They’ve a few tables outside too which is nice for people watching. It’s a tourist street so there’s always a few characters walking by. The staff I’ve found to be really nice every time. I can understand when baristas are wrecked at the end of the day, but these guys always seem to have a smile on their face and are generally happy and chatty. Great to see. The only coffee I’ve had here are flat whites and they’re easily one of my favourites I’ve had anywhere in Co. Dublin. I can’t comment on their other beverages though but my friends highly recommend what they’ve had there. My only one criticism would be the price of some of the food. Now I’ve never tried it and was considering giving something a shot today for lunch — but once I saw the prices and the size of portion I decided against it. Maybe they’re worth it, not sure just yet. Also — I wish the place was a little bigger. I know I’ve always gotten a seat, but if it was just that little bit bigger they could throw in some more comfortable chairs, even a sofa. Would just a be nice touch! Go check it out!

Breakfast pastries/granola, sandwiches, salads, and tea/coffee. Some of the food options seem to be similar to what they had before when this location was«Cup.» It’s got everything you need for a nice place to have a chat or read a book. There’s bathrooms downstairs too(though a bit cramped). The staff are lovely and the coffee is good. Not much more to say!

Simply put. The best coffee in Dublin. Some of the most friendly and bubbly staff i have come across(at least in my haunt — CHQ pop up) If you enjoy a good latte/cappuccino this is right up your alley. I’ve been coming here for the best part of 2 yrs and the standard hasn’t dropped.

Another very good coffee shop. If you’re in need of a really good flat white then these guys will hook you up. This is a smallish coffee shop with seating in and out. I’ve only ever been in at the weekends but can imagine it gets busy during the week. The layout and décor is modern and the staff are friendly.

Got a chicken Caesar toasted sandwich. Normally it’s € 7 sit-in, but it was € 6 to-go so I got that. Bit pricey for sandwiches! And it was ok, nothing special. I won’t be coming back for lunch as it’s not worth the price in my opinion. Coffee is their thing though, so might come back for that.

Love love love! Smoothest(and visually appealing) lattés in Dublin. The staff are great and the décor is right up my alley-minimal yet chic. No complaints whatsoever.

Only coffee shop I’ve been to in Dublin that can make an almond flat white, and make it damn well.

Nice modern café with crisp design, they make some great coffee. I’ve been to their branch on South Anne street so I thought I might try this one out, and I wasn’t disappointed. Good points: The coffee is really well made and nicely presented, and the staff were quite friendly too. The café interior is really modern and crisp, and they have some nice outdoor seats for when it’s sunny(on those rare but wonderful days!). Bright and lively atmosphere too. The service is really efficient, and they also serve soup, sandwich rolls and baked goods. Not good: It’s quite small and cramped inside so if your the type like me who would like to sit for a few hours, read/work etc. then I would not recommend this place as it’s really small so the tables are so close together. On a personal not, I like coffee made with soya milk which they don’t do here. Instead they offer almond milk which I’m not particularly fond of, so it wouldn’t be my choice for a regular coffee. They close a bit earlier as well, at like 5:30pm. Overall: Crisp feel, decent coffee especially their Americanos!

TL;DR — Staff: A Coffee: A++ Crossaint: B Internet/work: C —– On Tuesday morning I usually take a walk and use one of my old reliables to work from — 3FE or Starbucks on Dawson Street. I had spotted a twitter post about Coffee Angel on Leinster street and thought I’d drop in and try to work there for 2 or 3 hours(and to meet my caffeine quota of course!). It’s a dream of mine to one day own a small coffee shop so I always like to explore these places and I study EVERYTHING. When I entered I was greeted immediately — these guys are keen to present a great customer experience. Its awesome that they are excited but maybe they need to tone it down a little and give the customer an opportunity to think. I picked a plain crossaint and I ordered an Americano. I received the coffee in a takeaway cup and the crossaint in a bag. The display is a little confusing, when you enter you can see croissants and pastries etc but its not completely clear if you just take them or if you should ask for assistance. When its busy, I wonder if customers would be more inclined to try food if they had ordered their coffee first? Theres a 1– 2 minute window there to think :-) I sat in the back left corner of the café and fired up my laptop to get to work. Before starting, I had to go back to the counter to get a plate for my crossaint. It took a couple of minutes to connect to the wifi. When I did connect, I was redirected to a Facebook checkin page. Click«skip». Wifi connectivity was poor — even with nobody else visibly using the network, the latency is very high and connectivity is slow. If you want to browse Facebook its fine… Youtube, Spotify? — forget it. * The Coffee — The Coffee, The Coffee, The Coffee — Was fantastic. I really, really enjoyed my first Americano. I drank it slowly and enjoyed ever drop. I highly recommend the coffee here! * The Food — Crossaint was okay — didn’t seem very fresh(I visited at 8.40AM). The butter was hard. Its not always possible but it would be nice to have it at a temperature where it is spreadable. * The Environment — Its a little cramped and not a good choice to get work or reading done. Internet connectivity is not good for anything beyond Facebook. In summary, I would visit again and I will certainly enjoy takeaway coffee from here in future but I would hesitate to try working from here. Which is unfortunate because I live nearby.

Love coffee angel! They took over this space from cup another great coffee shop that will be missed :( I normally just get a coffee or a coffee and scone if I’m sitting in on a mornings commute to work. The jam you get with the scones is fantastic! Really makes them, love a sweet treat in the morning :) the coffee here is top class as you would expect from a specialist café such as this. It’s decorated in that sleek coffee angel style plenty of pastel colours, and some exposed brick on the far wall because that’s what all the cool kids are doing now days. Great spot and with it being so bang in the city centre I’m sure they’ll do great :) Worth a stop !
