The restaurant in the basement of Clery’s looks a bit like a school cafeteria, but they do have nice cake and coffee. You have to queue up with a tray to get your food, which usually annoys me but the staff are that nice and efficient, it sort of makes up for it. I had carrot cake, which was a bit dry and a very nice cup of coffee. There is a friendly buzz about the place, but the chairs were pretty uncomfortable and not inviting you to stay for very long. The cake and coffee came to nearly 10 quid as well, so I don’t think I’ll be back in a hurry.
