Best breakfast and lunch wether your on the go are want to take a few minutes out of your busy day then clerkes is the place. I’v been going here since a child and still love everything about it.

I am a serious fan of the full Irish breakfast. I genuinely believe that there is nothing better than a plate loaded with pork products first thing in the morning. Given this, I must say that Clarkes is one of the few places in dublin to offer a beautifully slutty fry at a very reasonable price! The staff are super friendly too. Went in for a breakfast for two and got the Clarkes special full Irish breakfast and we were not disappointed.
The food was made fresh while we found a table (these are all cleaned regularly so the place looks great). We asked not to have black pudding and instead hash browns and this was done without a bother and the coffee we got with the food was made in a barrister type machine and was frothy and tasty!
We were thirsty so I asked to get a bottle of water however the staff were so nice they whipped out a jug of cold water and just gave us two glasses for free insisting that I take it rather than pay! For a full breakfast and coffee it was a mere 7 euro!!! I will be returning to this place without a doubt!

Clarke’s is definitely the go to place for a weekend fry up to cure a Dublin hangover… Good big portions and a reasonable price. The bread is amazing!
Staff are welcoming and know their regulars really well… Gives the place a personal feel!
A cake to go is a must as well!

It was an early Sunday morning. I awoke with a deep hunger, craving what all good Irish people crave on a Sunday — the illusive Full Irish Breakfast. I was a little fed up of the generally average breakfasts served at my local café, so I consulted Unilocal for some advice. Clarke’s appeared on my list as the closest breakfast stop to us, so we decided to give it a whirl.
Parking was easy to find across the road and free on a Sunday! We went in and ordered the standard full Irish, just with a few modifications. We sat down to wait for our food. The café feels a little cold, and dare I say it, boring. It’s not somewhere I want to sit for an hour or two people watching, which is why I would visit a café in the first place.
Our food arrived and while it was super yummy, I have many grievances with the selection available. Firstly, you cannot call a breakfast fry a ‘Full Irish’ if there are no beans or mushrooms! The sausages were delicious, but the meal was dry overall. Needs moar beans pls. Also, the deep fried brown bread… uh… why? Why not just serve normal toast? Or brown bread on it’s own. There was no need to deep fry it! It seems gimmicky.
The staff were really lovely and quite friendly. Some may view my review as a little harsh, but my quest for the perfect Sunday morning fry goes on.

Not a review per-​se, but a funny story. As a new driver in Bus Eireann in Broadstone, I was sent up by the Inspectors to Clarkes to get «bacon, sausages and black and white pudding’ for their breakfast.
Innocent me saw the uncooked products in the chiller so got them and returned to Broadstone to be met with — «Are you going to cook them on the engine?» from the cookerless Inspectors !!!

Amazing! I only have great things to say about this place. You might not spot this place, as it’s right next to a hardware store in Cabra, but I highly recommend that you try it!
The price you pay is small for the quality of the product. They bake their cakes, scones, bread and pastries daily as I know this since most mornings I’m headed to work at 6am and can smell a delicious aroma coming right out of the bakery! Most cakes and pastries are 1.50 and their loaves of bread at around 3 euro. I have tried everything from the apple crumble to the jam donuts and the bread, all of which have been fantastic every time. The staff is extremely friendly and are more than happy to make recommendations and suggestions.
If you don’t want to take it home, you can eat in as they have a café attached to the bakery where you can get coffees, teas and munch on your delicious pastry.

A pretty awesome bakery! This place is an institution in Cabra, and quite rightly so.
Delicious bread, and nice cookies.
The quality of the bread speaks for itself, so give these guys a go!
I can recommend the following baked goods to try:
Low GI multi grain bread — PROBABLY THE NICEST BREAD ANYWHERE IN DUBLIN, and that’s including temple bar food market or dublin food coop.
Rich fruit cake — delicious, and full of flavour, a bargain at 4 euro
Ginger bread men — I like the big ones dipped in chocolate
Tiffin — a massive slab of chocolatey goodness for 1.50 which, unless you’re feeling very greedy, is easily big enough to serve 2 for a teatime treat.
If you are sick of wasting your money on crap bread from the tesco then come on down (or up if you’re a southsider) to one of the best local bakeries in Dublin!

The most amazing bakery in Dublin. There is a queue sometimes to buy bread or cakes but worth the wait. The queue moves very fast anyway. A lot of staff behind the counter.
Their bread is orgasmic.
They also make up big rolls for take away. Also amazing and very reasonably priced and HUGE! With really nice homemade coleslaw!
If you decide to sit in to eat I would most certainly recommend it. Their breakfasts are one of the best in Dublin. Anything from a Full Irish to poached eggs and yummy brown bread.

The Food in Clarke’s Bakery is lovely and tastes very fresh and home-​made. I love their Apple tart the best.
