On our cruise stop in Dublin, we were looking for a place for lunch. We happened across this establishment. As a Francophile, I decided that this was it. Inside atmosphere is a combo of hip bar with French bordello décor. Service was friendly. Food was solid. Jack enjoyed his fish and chips. My bœuf bourguignon was solid. Mom had a salad with duck which was huge. WIFI was a little slow. Overall a pleasant experience.

For a great after dinner spot to spend with friends, you must go to Café En Seine off Dawson Street near Grafton Street and St. Stephen’s Green. Live music, dancing, well-​priced drinks, and art deco Parisian-​chic create a great night-​life atmosphere. You can also have a quiet lunch or espresso and dessert during the day. There is a jazz brunch on Sundays. The décor is very unique for Dublin which will immediately surprise you when you enter. The ambience will transport you back to 19th century Paris. From the moment you walk in you’re blown away by the cool décor. Moulin rouge meets Broadway! Theatrical style French chandeliers, upholstery and spaces create a great atmosphere.
Fantastic selection of drinks including an amazing gin and tonic menu. Different tonics and flavourings to go with each gin. Need to slowly make my way through.
Great vibe on a weekend night. Good music that you want to dance to and a decent space to dance in.

The presentation of my gin and tonic was fantastic. My only issue was the choice of an orange wedge as a garnish, when it is usually a wedge of lime that would accompany gin.
The bar was busy enough, but my friends and I found some seats as the upstairs was open.
I took away one star as the music was far too loud, there wasn’t even anyone trying to dance. People were mostly trying to avoid it.
However, the décor is always extremely impressive!

Well I could write a better review if their way too full of himself ‘bouncer’ had allowed my very very sober self in. Apparently being well dressed and polite isn’t the kind of custom they are after. I’d always heard good things about this place, so after having a lovely dinner at Fire, we thought we would go there for a nightcap. Well, we were wrong! Anyway, I guess my desire to go there is gone forever now.

We popped in on Friday evening after work.
I had a chicken Caesar salad and a couple of frozen daiquiris — YUM!
My partner had a Beef Burger, Chunky Chips, Garlic Aioli and a couple of beers. — He really enjoyed.
The décor is gorgeous and service was good.
We’ll defo return!

I like the place. the décor is amazing and the toilets are something else (yes this is important). In the last few years I have been there for food mostly– it used to be for cocktails, what happened to me? I can honestly say I had the best Pavlova and the best crème brûlée in Dublin in Café en Seine. the homemade breads are always so tasty. The menu changes quite often but I have never been disappointed. The only thing I would complain about is that the service can be a bit slow at times.

Had lunch here the week before Christmas, had to book in advance as it is very popular. The menu isn’t huge so may not suit everyone. Service was very quick and the staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere for a relaxing catch up

One of the survivors from the Celtic Tiger economy when many other clubs closed their doors. Quite unique in Dublin and much better than the pretentious Lillies bordello. Can be busy but a great atmosphere and buzz Thu night onwards.

I love the look of Café enSeine. The place is gorgeous to look at. I have visited a few times recently in the late afternoon when things are a little quieter. I think its more enjoyable at this time rather than the weekend busy nights. It can be a little crazy on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a good range of beers and gins. They also do food. I find the staff to be friendly in general.

It’s a great place to bring a date if you want to get laid!
All you have to do is wear a suit, smoke some cigarettes and talk about how you’re excited about the bonus you’ve been promised next year.
Talk about taking a trip to the Caribbean or the Seychelles and she’ll definitely lay you.

I completely fall in love with this place. It is a fantastic spot with an amazing interior décor. The pub is very specious with a high ceiling. Friendly staff, delicious food and foremost lovely atmosphere.
I have been twice at Café en Seine. Once for some casual drinks and one for a birthday party. Each time I had lots of fun. In the late evening this place turns into a great spot for dancing. I would highly recommend going!

cool spot to vist nice café, good restaurant, great bar/​nightclub. The real selling point is the amazing décor ! really gorgeous place ! statues, chandeliers paintings and antiques the whole way through the place, really high ceilings.
The café is alright service and food is good, the coffee lets it down a little bit, however! if your going out for a drink the place is fab! that place is normally packed they have a great range of cocktails, great date spot and love the music there, a little pricey but what the hell gotta treat yourself every now and then ! :)

A surprisingly large venue. It’s a nice looking place. The menu was some what limited. I didn’t find anything I really wanted to eat. Alcohol reasonably priced. The seating across from the bar area was terrible. The tables are way too high for eating. Not even good for drinking. We ended up putting our drinks on the shelf below the table. Felt like a hobbit.

Beautiful space… opulent art nouveau décor, huge bar, high ceilings, lots of marble, gilded accents, and nude statues. Delicious food. We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed all of our selections. Great service. A fun option amongst the sea of pubs.

I never was a huge fan of the massive big bars and pubs along Dawson Street and most likely never will. Like there is absolutely nothing wrong with them its just not me The ambiance nor the atmosphere could convince me personally, however the décor and interior is marvelous and quite impressive to look at if you go there during the afternoon cos at night time you rarely would be able to look up while fighting you path through the crowds .
I would return probably between Monday and Wednesday to catch up with a friend along the bar area and enjoy a drink before moving on. Extra star as they serving GF beer which always makes me happier living a place and consider returning another time.

Fantastic spot, the decoration and furniture is outstanding there. I went on a short lunch break with my friend and were were welcomed by the staff. It quite busy even during the day but we managed to get a table. I cant rate I would rate what I had and i ordered coffee and fries and my friend got tea and crème brûlée and over all it was decent. The place is worth checking out for sure.

Beautiful and classy building !!! … very large and spacious with very comfy seats ! decent crowd that comes here… a real «after work crowd» if you get me… not very casual or laid back though (but I liked that for a change). it was a nice experience. best to come here for cocktails and wines and whiskeys ! not a great beer and pints place ! … its great for groups… esp work parties and such. great for couples. (from ages early 20s and up)… they do food here too. two up from your typical bar food.
I recommend the lavender cocktail ! was new and interesting ! cocktails are pricey but certainly worth it. they are very strong and you could sip on then for a while…

Café En Seine: A bit of Belle Époque in modern day Dublin. Okay I borrowed that, but I couldn’t find a more fitting description. This space goes on and on with room after room in a multi-​level establishment. It’s attractive and inviting with its comfy chairs, elaborate décor, and extensive cocktail list. I like it when it’s less crowded and less pretentious and the coveted tables aren’t tagged with ‘reserved’ signs. I’d also like it more if they gave it a good cleaning and removed the whatnot that junks up the place.
That being said I still don’t mind sipping a Pinot in a leather chair with a few friends while admiring the rich reds and gaudy décor. It’s much more welcoming than your run-​of-​the-​mill pub…
3.5 Stars for those eye-​catching red lamps.

Un pub de Dublin con mucho encanto ya sea por el local y su decoración, el ambiente, el personal… Esta muy bien situado, por el centro, y cerca de muchos lugares interesante y turísticos de Dublin. Por la tarde tiene una luz calida que hace mas especial el lugar.
Es totalmente recomendable, ya sea para visitar su interior o como para tomarse una pinta.

Abgesehen von der absolut gigantischen Dekoration ist auch das Essen (muss nicht nachgesalzen werden und trieft nicht vor Frittierfett) hervorragend und die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier sollte man mal reingeschaut haben. Die Preise sind angemessen und für Dubliner Verhältnisse sogar günstig.

ein jeder meiner Irland-​Besuche startet traditionell hier — im Café en Seine. Es ist zwar nicht typisch irisch, aber ich liebe einfach das Ambiente, das tagsüber sehr durchmischte Publikum, das leckere Essen und natürlich auch das Guinness und die Cocktails schmecken dort besetens!
Wer mal in Dublin ist, sollte unbedingt hin — und wenn’s nur auf einen Kaffee zum Bestaunen der riesigen Statuen und Spiegel ist! :-)

Auf der Liste der zu besuchenden Orte steht das Café en Seine für Dublin ganz klar auf Nummer 1. Egal ob morgens, mittags, nachmittags, abends oder nachts. Hier ist immer was los. Alleine wegen der Einrichtung und den Ambiente durchzuschlendern ist schon ein Erlebnis. Ausladende Kronleuchter, schöné Statuen, teilweise fast monumentale Einrichtung.
Mit einer größeren Anzahl an Personen mit Essenswunsch an einem Wochenende sollte man auf jeden Fall frühzeitig reservieren. Die Tische sind abends sehr heiss begehrt.
Ab 23h ist dann der DJ an Bord und die Party steigt. Zu dieser Zeit ist der Weg am Türsteher vorbei obligatorisch. Styling. Tagsüber normal bis schick, abends «voll aufgebrezelt». Wenn Dublin abends ausgeht, dann sehr schick!
Absolute Empfehlung. Selbst das Essen (trotz überschaubarer Auswahl) ist gut.

Am Nachmittag ein wirklich toller Platz. Mit etwas Glück ergattert man bei schönem Wetter einen Tisch auf der kleinen Terrasse zur Dawson Street aber auch bei Kälte oder Regen ist das Café en Seine indoor sehenswert und kann mit den großen Kaffeehäusern in Paris, Wien oder Prag mithalten. Abends am Wochenende verwandelt sich das ganze zu einer quirligen Party-​Adresse.

A peine entré, on né sait où poser ses yeux. La déco de ce bar/​avant boîte est tout simplement SPLENDIDE: style rococo/​france des années 20/​nouvelle déco.
Le bar offre une piste de danse et 2 étages d’une ambiance plus intimes pour se poser. La musique est commerciale mais sympathique pour se mettre en jambe. Tous les âges se retrouvent dans ce lieu ce qui crée d’emblée une ambiance agréable. Un bel endroit pour commencer les soirées !

Wer in mondän-​gepflegter Atmosphäre ein gutes, aber zugegebenermaßen kostspieliges Pint (5EUR — Dez. 2009) trinken möchte, wird hier nicht enttäuscht. Dass man hier Pringles-​Chips und keine Walker’s zum Bier reicht, finde ich ein bisschen schade, aber man kann (und muss) ja nicht immer alles haben. 5 Sterne

Ein sehr ausgefallenes Ambiente. So ähnlich wie das Café de Paris, nur alles viel größer und bombastischer. Man kommt sich wirklich vor wie damals. Was ich allerdings, im Gegensatz zu den anderen Locations, bemängeln muss, ist der schlechte Service. Haben über ½ Stunde auf die Aufnahme der Bestellung gewartet. Völlig überfordert! So what, gesehen haben muss man es!

Super Einrichtung, ein echtes Erlebnis dort nach einer langen Shoppingtour einen Café zu schluerfen. Man kommt sich vor wie in einem Film aus den 30ern. Einer der absoluten Pflichtbesuche in Dublin!
5 Sterne gibt es nicht, weil ich finde, dass ausser dem Ambiente dort nichts Besonderes ist. Leider.

Es lohnt sich alleine wegen der Einrichtung hier her zu kommen. Leider ist das Café en Seine trotz seiner Grösse meist vollkommen überfüllt. Vorallem am Abend ist hier nur schwer hineinzukommen und ein unfreundlicher Bodyguard hält vor der Türe wache. Die Getränkepreise sind wirklich etwas zu teuer, und das Publikum vielleicht etwas zu cool und zu sehr herausgeputzt.

Riesengroß und dennoch wunderbar: Die Einrichtung ist etwas, das man auf jeden Fall gesehen haben sollte. Das Essen — vor allem die Sandwiches — schmecken ganz gut, es lässt sich aber durchaus günstiger Essen. Aber auf einen Cappuccino sollte man vorbeikommen.
Montagsabends gibt es nette Jazz-​Sessions, wobei es sich hier empfiehlt, möglichst früh schon einen Platz zu sichern!

von außen schaut es aus wie ein kleiner laden. ist man aber erstmal drinnen und sieht man wie groß es ist.
der hintere abschnitt der zum abend hin eine tanzfläche wird, besitzt mehrere etagen. die musik und das publikum ist wunderbar!
einzig was man kritisieren kann ist der preis der getränke! der ist sogar für irische verhältnisse teuer!

Wenn es mal kein uriges irisches Pub sein soll, bietet Café en Seine abends eine Alternative.
Von Außen wirkt es wie ein kleines gemütliches Café. Tritt man ein, erblickt man bald einen riesigen Raum. Das Café erstreckt sich über mehrere Stockwerke. Die Dekoration ist üppig und ungewöhnlich. Am Wochenende wird spät die Musik etwas lauter und das Erdgeschoss zur Tanzfläche.
Eintritt kostet es keinen, die Getränkepreise geizen dafür nicht.
