Alas, I have visited this BK way too many times. It’s a nice enough BK but it’s the location that gets me. It’s on O’Connell Street right near or should I say between a few pubs I frequent so I often find myself wandering in here when out. A blessing and a curse!

I love this place. It’s well served, which is important, isn’t it? It has various tables to sit down. I have to confess — I prefer BK instead of McD. This is grand place. Can and will be busy on weekend nights. Just pop in. If you don’t like it, you can leave. Other fast food shops are right beside.

This is definitely way better than McDonalds or KFC. I like the Chicken Royale and Chicken premium, worth the price. Most of the items are actually costly and they don’t have any saver meals. So if you are looking to hang out at a good not-so-cheap fast food joint, I would recommend this.

Foodquality like in every Burger King: good! But: Unclean, dirty atmosphere, disgusting toilets eventhough the toilet door only opens for customers!

Well tie me down and call me sally, 99 cents for a breakfast bap, dog food is more expensive, you decide!

Crap chips… really crap chicken bits… but lets not be under any illusions here… this is a fast food restaurant that is not pretending to be gourmet in any way. They come from a time when fast food was something that sacraficed food quality for speed. and even though since then things have changed significantly their is no way Burger king has moved with the times. You are fully aware that everything you put into your mouth in this restaurant is either plastic or paper… and this one in particular. just off o’connel street has a nice big space to accomodate the crowds. however there never seems to be room to sit. go upstairs and its nearly worse. I dont like Burger King. and even though Mc Donalds aint much better, at least the chicken nuggets are nice

I hate McDonalds. I hate McDonalds so much I sometimes go to Burger King just to give money to their biggest competition. Sure, there may be little or no logic in eating food that tastes fairly similar and just as bad for me as McDonald’s is, but I’ll do my part in order to bury McDonald’s little by little. At least the burgers in Burger King actually taste vaguely of beef. There’s no Euro saver menu but they do a decent Chicken Royale. They no longer do the Texican Whopper here though, one of the few burgers I actually liked. Oh well.

Why, you ask, would a silly American write a review of the Burger King on O’Connell Street in Dublin? It is an excellent question and it is sort of an abomination to eat here when you’re out of the States, but I had a good reason. I was studying abroad at UCD and I was really poor and I didn’t want to hang out with other drunk-ass Americans so I would meet a friend of mine who was living with an Irish family nearby at this Burger King. Yup, we party animals would regularly meet at this locale and grab a bite. At the time, dare I say 1999, everything on O’Connell street would shut early so if you wanted to shop at the Penneys(bargains!) or on Henry Street, you needed to do that beforehand. We American girls were not the only ones lining up for the BK, I can tell you. And sometimes, you just need a crappy burger to remind you of home. I miss O’Connell Street!
