Not really worth the time and effort to get to! Had a family meal here(pub grub) last Saturday. I’ve had a few drinks here before and knew to expect it not to be busy or have much of an atmosphere, as it was a Saturday and we wanted a pub grub meal so this actually worked in our favour! W sat at 1930 for a our meal and ordered away, I had the bruschetta & goats cheese for starters, was’t great at all, I then opted for the steak sandwich, which to be honest was’t any better! I know, I know, what do I expect for pub grub but it really was below average for pub grub. The staff, were, for the most part attentive and helpful. What really annoyed me was at 21:00 music started playing from the function room above! we all had to start shouting across the table to hear each other! when I looked around at the few other people eating I could see it on there faces too! WTF is this all about expression! Not great at all! We won’t be back for drinks or food again unfortunately.

Great food at reasonable prices and easily accessible from M7 motorway. Don’t let the ancient stonework visible from the motorway put you off. It is a guilt modern cocktail bar as well as a fairly busy popular local restaurant. We use it regularly.

Had the afters to my nephews christening here. It was very good. We had very nice fingerfood and really moist cake;-). My mam lives in citywest and I must have passed by it countless times without noticing it so I dont know how they get much business. My sister goes in for carverys on sundays and she says they do a roaring trade so there you go. The staff were sound and the babys head was saturated by the end so job well done.

Recently reopened as Silken Thomas @ Browns Barn. I had the carvery dinner, tasty, middle of the road fare. Limited bar menu, sandwiches, one pasta option, wings nothing elaborate. I still think the place lacks ambience. For those of you hungry not a bad place to stop off as it is handy and has good parking. Nuff said.

Browns Barn is located in Dublin, it also looks like a Barn building. The Browns Barn has a cocktail bar, Beer Garden, Restaurant and conference area. The Cocktail Bar is very modern and they also have a pianist playing in the evenings. The Beer Garden is beautiful with pine wood tables and benches. The restaurant dishes are delcious. and priced well, but can be expensive too with some of the dishes. There are two floors to the restaurant the upper floor does steak and seafood. One of my favourite dishes is the Roasted corn-fed chicken, which is made of breast of corn fed-chicken and creamed potatoe stuffing sealed in proscuitto ham with redcurrent jus and dauphinoise potatoes. Yum Yum
