Book Value

I am sucked into this bookshop every time I pass. I’ve seldom bought anything in here but the sale signs and promises of value lure me in every time.
There’s very little by way of literature in here — the fiction section consists largely of chick-​lit and horror. But if you are on the look out for coffee table books, like ones on photography or art, then they have some really big, beautiful ones for really cheap, which make great expensive looking presents.
The cookbooks are the best selection on offer as everyone else has said. They have a few by leading chefs like Rachel Allen, and world cuisine is also well represented.
Worth considering for stocking up on Christmas presents rather than books you would buy to read yourself.

Book Value is all about appearances. All the flashy price tags and SALE signs try to lead you to throwing your cash away like a moth to a flame. If you’re wise, you’ll see through this ruse and realise that the books are a) unheard of or b) not actually that cheap. I nearly bought a slightly worn Batman: Black and White for twenty rubles but thought better of it. I later got it in mint condition for 17. Buyer beware

Cheap first hand books you’ve never heard of and don’t particularly care about. No really. As Melanie says, it’s good for cook books and the like but not really a literary bookshop.
There is a decent art section at the back left corner though. I nearly picked up one on the Roma today, before suddenly remembering my wages, and putting it back on the shelf.

Brand new book store opened on Lower Grafton Street selling bargain books. Lots on offer but not many best sellers or new releases. These are books that you will find in other book stores but at a cheap prices here, no idea why they are cheaper but they are!
Great for general book needs like cookbooks, keep fit, kids books and language books and dictionaries but don’t come here looking for something in particular. But if you are just looking for a cheap book to pick up head here!
