This is a cute little place for grabbing a quick bite and/​or a quick drink before hopping on the train. They actually make a really good steak pie which I enjoyed very much. It was great to have some warm food while waiting for a train during a cold, rainy day in Dublin…

While Connolly Station has changed and grown over the past few years, it’s nice to see Bean & Gone, its resident café, has matured as well.
Once a dark little shop in a corner by the railway entrance, B&G, or rather its parent company, Madigans has finally given itself a makeover to match the spiffy polish of the station. There’s still a few tables down by the turnstiles, but now travelers can sit and sip on the raised platforms that once served Oslo Bar (what happened there?).
The offering is relatively unchanged, but looks so much nicer. Sandwiches, hot chicken giujons and wedges, desserts and candy bars plus those frothy, frilly railway station coffees that always seem like a good idea until you’re clutching a cold cup on a northbound train with no where to toss it.
Service is fast (has to be in a train station) and the prices… well, you’re sort of stuck for price shopping.
