Pros: — delivered in short time — sizable portions of chips and chicken — the chicken breast was flavorful and crispy — fair pricing Cons: — the curry sauce could have been spicier and thicker — the chicken leg’s skin slid right off; needed to be crispier

15 € for 212″ pizzas, delivered. My go-to place for takeaway pizza. The ingredients are excellent, staff is friendly and they’ll swap ingredients on your pizza without complaints. It’s definitely worth trying it, I highly recommend this place. They even have PayPal payment online for added convenience.

I ordered food online, paid by card. Got a confirmation email saying that they received my order and then an email stating that it was processed. Waited over an hour for the delivery, gave them a call and I was told that they declined the order and I should have gotten an email saying that it was declined. I received no email and I’m not sure if we were refunded. Not impressed by the service or the response by staff.

Yes, this is worth the walk. We ordered smoked fish(odd but good) and chips with a fantastic garlic cheese sauce on top. Both items were hot, freshly made, HUGE, and taste amazing. We waited about 5 minutes for the order and then walked to the river to eat it at a bench at sunset. I highly recommend it!

This is the best chipper in Dublin — I never thought I’d ever utter such words but they cook the best chips this side of the Pale. Not to mention their Southern Fried chicken, honestly they should try and just sell the skin because it’s pretty amazing for a chipper. Plus the chaps that work there are really decent lads.

It’s lovely to eat in restaurants but every now and then you just crave a bag of good old fashion chips and since I have moved back to Dublin 2.5 years ago, I have been searching for a good consistent quality traditional chipper, found it! It took a while, but after enjoying some Jazz in the nearby Bello Bar one Sunday night, I caught the wonderful aroma of a chipper(Aprile) and I have been coming back every since. They also do a really decent burger, meat melts in your mouth, fine hot dog too! They even do a delivery service!

It was also very fresh and came delivered hot which is what you want. The chips were up in my top 5 for chipper chips very well done and would recommend to anyone who likes chipper food.

Good chipper, staff are hit and miss, as are the chips from time to time, mostly really good but sometimes not so much. Not quite up there with Clanbrassil Street Bistro and I really wish they would do milkshakes, what is with the Dublin choppers not doing them?

I can’t believe I’ve been living a couple doors down from Aprile for the last three months and I’ve only recently discovered it. I randomly came across this chipper on a hungover hunt for some yummy calories. Although I have tasted better fries in Belgium, these were, by far, the best ones I’ve had in Dublin. The chicken burger is soooo good and my friend said the fresh cod was the best she’s had here so far.

I don’t have chips that often but when I do, I like them to be good or else it feels like a wasted opportunity. My previous experience in Aprile was years ago and I managed to lose my apartment keys and ended with handing out 100 notes to have a locksmith out. There was a bitter taste in my mouth as I ate the chips that night but when we moved across town and Aprile became a hop, skip and a jump away, I’ve since had call to go there on a couple of occasions. Their chips are quality and there are plenty of them. Their battered sausages are good too and the garlic cheese chips were pretty damn good(though I was in an advanced state of inebriation that night so I can’t say for sure). There are plenty of tempting lunchtime offers and other deals that I want to try before giving it a fifth star but it’s not far off the holy grail!

I’ve been to a few ‘chippers’ since I’ve moved here and I often find that they’re quite dirty which leaves me feeling less than chipper when I’m devouring their eats… However, Aprile is one of the few late-night chippers that offers a tasty chip in a clean environment. And that does make me feel very chipper indeed as I reach into the bag of salted-up and vinegar’d chippies. It’s also in a decent neighborhood and steps away from the canal as well as several pubs. Extra vinegar please :)

Went here for some sausage and chips on our first evening in Dublin. It was about a 10 min. walk from our hotel near Stevens Green. The chips were awesome, the sausage did not live up to expectations(but I am a sausage lover and it takes a lot to impress) DD did not feel like walking back to the hotel so we stood at the counter and enjoyed our grub. We never made it back here but I would visit again if I had the craving for some nice hot sausages and brilliant chips ;-)

Gorgeous chips and a really fast delivery service. I’m a big fan of their meal deals. They’re at a great price and there is so much food it feeds a lot more than just 2 people! The staff have always been very friendly and will have no problem changing or customizing your order if you’re a little picky! — Brilliant!

I have a dirty, secret indulgence that I give into every now and then. Chicken burgers. And I’m not talking about the fancy kind made using a chicken fillet. No no my friend, I refer to the kind that Jamie Oliver warns us all against. And when I get these cravings I high tail it to the nearest Irish chipper to sate my urges. And in the village quarter this is Aprile, your friendly neighbourhood traditional Italian-Irish chipper. The place is clean, the staff are well turned out and friendly. And most importantly Aprils’ Chicken burgers rock. Their chips are pretty special too. So if you are after chipper chips I can highly recommend Apriles chips. Until the next time Aprile…

After a long binge, go here for the ultimate combo. Cheeseburger and a rich portion of chips. At the ungodly hour, Aprile represents the finest of Dublin dining(at least in the Portobello area) and after a few, when the taste-buds are a tad bit paralysed, I find the burger the juiciest bite on earth, perfectly grilled and dripping in sauce. The chips here also have real bite and doesn’t taste like they’ve been swimming in the same oil for hours. Have to say though that their sandwiches should be avoided at all cost, no metter how drunk you are, unless you have a big mayo-fetish, but that’s just my personal opinion of course. So thumbs up for Aprile! May you feed my drunken ass many nights to come!

Look, you know when you see a picture of a chip baguette in the window of a fast-food restaurant during the day, you know you’re only going to eat there when absolutely sloshed. And eat there when sloshed we have and will for many a year. A staple, drunk messy end to a night out Aprile is, but she serves in the highest pantheons of late-night chippers

Love this chipper! I have been coming here for years since I was mitching off school and giving them my lunch money! I know the staff now and I just think that they are great and friendly and even when I am drunk they never roll their eyes at me or make me feel unwelcome! The chips are great and there are lots of them! The fish is fresh and batter perfect and the battered sausages are the best!

Apriles is mightily popular among the after-hours crew on a weekend night. Mmmm chunky chips to beat the band accompanied by garlic-cheese, curry or maybe even curry cheese(don’t judge). Apriles offers typical chipper fare and of course many dishes are fried or battered to increase the stodge-factor — think onion rings battered sausies. There are often queues out the door on a weekend night but sit tight because Aprile’s staff are fast, efficient and as they hand you your cholesterol-laden late-night treat they’ll give you a cheeky look that says ‘not you again’!

Very decent chipper, within staggering distance of a load of pubs. They fry a nice piece of cod, which cannot be said about every chipper. Service is efficient rather than pally(fairly standard for a chipper), and you could do much worse than getting a batter sausage and chips from there. Aprile are open til five o’clock in the morning, so you’d want to be on a fairly heroic session in order to miss them. A good solid three star job.

This is one of my favourite spots to hit after a night out — they do delicious chips and I love their chicken burger. I used to be almost a regular here, as I lived nearby and not because im a big fattie(!!!), and it got to the stage where the staff knew my order. That’s never a good sign in a chipper! So in a way I’m happy I don’t go as much, but I miss the food! As bad as it is for me and my figure… ah well! Also, i never knew whether to call it ap-ril-ay or ap-reel. Answers on a postcard please!!! Or you could just leave a comment I guess…
