If you’re ever in the GLasnevin/DCU area, Albert College Park is worth a visit. Its beautiful greens are the perfect spot for escapism. Because the park is so large, you never get the sense that it’s overcrowded. There are so many secluded walk-ways and sheltered benches. There’s a wonderful balance of shade and sunlight. The park is alive with different kinds of vegetation: trees, flowers and bushes. Popular with locals in the area, many visitors play football on the pitch. Some prefer to jog around through the many interconnected trails. Still others see the park as the ideal place to walk the dog. On a summer’s day, I can think of nothing more relaxing than reading on the grass.
