I have eaten here many times in the past but after my last visit I will not be back in a hurry, food has taken a serious nose dive as has the service… to say I was disappointed is an understatement, ruined my Birthday.

What can I say? I’ve never had a bad meal in the ESB — the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is lively, the staff are friendly and it’s the perfect location for almost any occasion. One piece of advice, it’s always a good idea to make a reservation.

Rude, unhelpful and not a nice experience definitely will NOT be returning! The food is mediocre and not worth what I paid for it. I was given a dirty cup twice and felt like a burden when I asked for a new one the second time I received a dirty cup I cleaned it myself. The waitress cleared the table as we were still eating which is very rude. All the staff clearly had no knowledge in restaurant etiquette. Between rolling her eyes and huffing at me it was clear she did not want to be serving people!

Five stars? I think not. Highly pretentious and trendy restaurant/wine bar with passable food. We arrived for an early dinner(5:30) and were told no tables were available, although there were many(10) vacant in front. We were seated at a «bar table», really a coffee table(knee hight), and one of our party had to sit on a what appeared to be a foot stool. The décor is post– modern\industrial, with the noise level to go with it. The waiter(who was dressed as though he just gotten off-shift at his other job as a deck-hand) could barely hear the orders, and conversation was nearly impossible. For a «seafood» restaurant, the seafood consisted of five dishes, three of them fried. I had the lamb shank, which was decent. My wife had the duck with gooseberry sauce, which she said was disappointing as it was more of a barbecue sauce. When we left, half of the tables in front were still empty. A disappointing experience.

Eat here regularly and have brought friends & family from Oz, Uk & Dublin and they were well impressed with the venue, atmosphere, excellent food & drinks menu and of course the food. It’s always fairly busy so book ahead(week in advance min) to avoid disappointment. We keep going back and love it every time.

Lovely place — crowded when we popped in, and you can see why. The food is great, service attentive and the prices are reasonable!

How can this place not be listed. Impossible to get into, even on a Monday night, if planning on a weekend, book well ahead. Food great, v reasonable, huge portions, modeled on a NYC bistro, I think. Try it, and try again.
