Downtown shopping has taken on a brighter bigger aspect with the opening up of the Opera Lane complex.
Neighbours Dunnes Stores are also playing their part. The façade of the old store still stands but it has been totally rebuilt behind that. There is an underground Food Hall and then big bright floors, mainly of fashions for kids, teens, ladies and gents, all by shiny new efficient escalators.
Took a quick trip through the other day, impressed with the brightness and space and more importantly with the large stock and keen prices. Saw decent looking sweaters there from a tenner upwards. For the same note, you could have bought a fleece hat, scarf and gloves combination.
Made my choices and headed for the tills where the chatty Dunnes Stores girls (they always have a word, even if it is just to ask «is is cold outside?») made short work of the queue.
