We were on a trip of Southwest Ireland and on our way from Blarney to Killarney. We found the R618 and decided to see some of the countryside. Being lunchtime, we stopped in Coachford and found this gem. The owner, Colum, greeted the three of us(me, my wife, and 12-year-old daughter). The food was good and made fresh. And Colum gave us plenty of touring advice and, like every Irishman we met, was incredibly friendly. The café is attached to a little store where you can stock up on groceries or road snacks. Great side trip!
